That might work better for me. Depends on the days though. I would be happy to play though.

Nice one Miggly. Welcome! I guess you already know about about the teamspeak server so my job is done. You can also find some games from the in-game chat room. Hope to play some games sometime!

If you want new people then I can fill that department. You just have to go over what to do and I can figure it out.
EDIT: I am PST for future reference and due to spring break I am very open with my time. |

Just when I thought that I could learn all the heroes by summer, those bastards add another to screw with me.

I just wanted to bring to the attention of the Admins that although the new single color change is nice, the purple color is hard to see against the gray background. I am referring to the who's online line. I don't know if you can change that or not but I like to glance up and check who is online and that color makes it so I have to move my mouse all the way up there. Just a thought though.

I am really trying to get good at supporting but I don't know any good core supports to help learn. I have been doing pretty good with Jakiro and combo-ing his spells (Ice Path and a Macropyre) and I just learned to pull camps and how to stack but I think I need more heroes to be a really good support player. Could anyone help me with a good wide range support heroes and when they are most effective? I was thinking like 4-5. Thanks in advance.

One of the biggest problems I have in game is that I have no clue what to build mainly because I don't know what kinds of items are out there. Is there anything out there that can help me to learn the items or is it just game after game that I have to play to learn the right builds? Any ideas are welcome and thanks in advance!

Well one of the things I ran into the last game I played, was that one person had already built a mek and I was lost on what else to build. Late game, is it better to go for personal items like say blademail and veil of discord rather than do multiples of like pipe and mek?

Sweet. Thanks for taking the time though. I now can have enough hand energy to land those skillshots.

I personally think that All Is Hell that Ends Well by Two Steps from Hell pretty much goes through all the stages of a dota game. Plus at about 3:00, it perfectly describes the final teamfight in every game.

Like Uno said, there are a lot of new players out there, like myself, and we are constantly being informed on better ideas and ways to do things. If you are interested in working with higher MMR (Match Making Rating) people, pretty much everyone is so hop into a game and learn a lot. Hope to play some games sometime!

Welcome! I'm sure you can find lots of people to discuss theories with here. I honestly don't dabble in that much. If you ever want to play, ask in either the in-game chat channel or the teamspeak server (voice.dotanoobs.com). Hope to play some games some time!

I have played many support games (most of my games are that way) and if there are a couple things to learn, they are wards and skills. Know those two things and your team will love you. On top of those, it is important to know what items help the most. Like, for example, a BKB would work well against a bunch of stunners and a pipe is great to stop those bad ulti's from wiping your team out. Like it has been said above, support can be really challenging. Just remember to pop your spells and help your team out. A well timed mek blast can change the tides of a teamfight. That's my two cents worth.

I go this game a few days ago. Thanks for the post. Its pretty awesome. I am horrible at it though. I consistently get slaughtered by badgers and now my wood cutter is running around the main hall when there is wood to be cut. Its a truly confusing game but everyday, a little more makes sense.

I don't know if this is even feasible but, over the summer, it might be cool to put together a Doobs tutorial and/or games with all those fancy graphics.

Well it has been a year with an almost complete lack of Dota. I am back though and am looking forward to playing some games with you guys.
-EDIT- For those of you that didn't know/forgot me, I play support and sometimes TA mid so I can get all the kills with the Refraction skill! |

I was just curious to see if there are any new events going on that favor newer/suckish players like myself. Let me know. If not I would love to organize something like that, as I have in the past.

Nice to see someone new! Like I'm sure one of the mods will say in a short while, hop onto Teamspeak and say hi! Most anyone will be friendly and probably get you started in a game or two. Hope to see you around!
