No matter the skill build you want to get your stun maxed as fast as possible because it increases in range the more it gets ranked up.

My skillbuild with him is usually Q W E Q Q R Q E E E, i like caustic finale because it makes farming such a easy thing to do, plus when you gank it gives such good damage if theyre inside a creep wave.

Sandstorm vs Caustic finale is a common thing people debate, im of the opinion that its good to have at least 1 level early in it. You really have nothing you can do with it except maybe sit invis for a few seconds waiting for support but if they other team has a little more coordination and communication theyll probably drop a sentry ward so they can see you. Sandstorm is great in the midgame when you have your blink dagger because you can go sandstorm and wait for your blink cooldown to refresh and then blink away A O K.

Yeah if im farming my sk then im going caustic
If im roaming ill do a level of sandstorm early then ill actually go stats to give myself some more hp/mana to work with in those ganks

My buddies who are big into counsel shooters love their turtle beaches, theyre a loose fit around your head though because its a wide width other than that the audio quality is great, the newer wireless ones even have bluetooth capabilites which let you play music off your phone or ipod/iphone into your headset!

I totally see where your coming from, i pubbed for years in dota 1 and HoN, heres a few tips i can give:
1) your in a group of 3-4? you dont have the carry in constant communication? move to him! he might catch onto the idea that you want to try to get something done!

2) your saying you usually support or initiate (that is you and your friends) if you guys pick your supports and initiators before your pub picks which carry hes obviously going to pick, he's going to be a little more cooperative because he realizes that yall picked your supports you werent "forced to support him" so hes going to try to work with you a little bit better, the same goes with if he sees wards and a courier, stacks etc, if hes getting some support from yall from the start then he might be more cooperative, not saying this works every time but from my experience it works out a little better, and either way its good practice for playing extremely well. The carry is only 1 part of the team, and i always think supports win games personally. Because without the support what would the carry be?

3) Alot of pubs are "forced" into playing support because they dont want a "5 carry trash pub team" so they think that they can still carry with crystal maiden or lich or something. There really isnt much you can do about a player being stuck up, you sort of just have to deal with it sad to say. It especially sucks when your playing spectre, whom i have to applaud you for playing since hes one of my favs, where you need farm all the time constantly from the start to finish of the game, what you can do is, if your having trouble getting your farm, try to get that vanguard and your tranquil boots up asap and go into that jungle, you might not get that instant radiance like you want, but spectre with a diffusal/manta is something to be feared. Plus contrary to popular belief, spectre with even a late radiance is great just because of his ult, usually you want radiance at like 20ish minutes with a hero, you can afford to get it a little later but not too late with spectre, dont get me wrong that doesnt mean a 50 minute radiance is going to be the best thing! but 30-35 minutes is still workable

4) everyone says this but im a firm believer of it, if you have a good game with someone, commend them and add them! hey you never know what could happen you might have another person to add to your group, whats the worst that can happen you dont get to play with a complete stranger again. its always worth a try!

I havent play tested it alot, but i think hardcore counter initiators would work well against it, earthshaker, tidehunter specifically would be especially good due to the decent duration on their disables and the sheer size of their aoe you'd figure theyd do something.

Old school centaur used to be hardcore countered by lifestealer, i havent seen the stats on the matchup after the update on centaur so im curious to see what i can dig up

if you watch 1saleaday.com, every other day i see steelseries stuff going for like 20-30$, BigBoss can atest to how good this place is, its where he does most of his shopping haha. I see turtle beach headsets on there all the time too

Completely unrelated to gameplay, but people in low priority have the greatest Handles ever. Ive seen everything from Clamydia Cat to Rolo Tony or theme team names like Icefrog Not Icefrog Im Icefrog No Im icefrog etc.

Naga Siren isn't my go to in terms of farming, but people who farm alot sure get used to out carrying a naga siren.
And thats one thing i think about naga siren, if your going to have her be your only carry on your team, you better have ALOT of damage from the rest of your team, sure she has illusions but in terms of raw damage she cant stack up to an antimage or a faceless void.

One thing i can say about naga though is she has THE best skill for setting up that wombo combo your team drafted

What you can do about naga's lack of damage though, is give her some good items, people have suggested radiance, manta, diffusal, heart, theyre all good.
To also help her lack of damage youve got the help of summoning those mirror images, this makes farming items SOO fast. by no means is it a battlefury antimage but its the next best thing! get that super fast radiance, hit your Q to summon those images and send them into lanes, the jungle wherever you want to get them getting you farm, it might sound like a daunting task at first but taking it one illusion at a time to where you want them to go is all youve got to do! no 400apm micro required!

Another problem you can fix with her too is that she's pretty slow! boots of travel, phase boots, yasha, or manta style (using that yasha) are all great options, this gives you some good manuverability so you can farm really fast! because with naga you really want to be farming, you need your items to be able to go toe to toe with the enemy especially if your your only teams carry!

If this didnt make sense just lemme know id love to help you out, im pretty sure that statement speaks for all of us really, not just myself!

I'd have to agree with you and disagree with you gambit.

Statistics are useful for getting general ideas, they are by no means set in stone.
Things like oh dagon 5 on phantom lancer has a 90% winrate, does that mean its viable? probably not. Those statistics are sort of trollish or are ones that you'd never use.

But statistics like who's being played the most or being banned the most are good to figure out trends in picks.

Like before 6.75 there was the holy trinity of bans. Based on statistics and just all around game knowledge, in competative play, a rediculous majority of dire teams banned naga lycan and darkseer? is it because they didnt want to play against them, were they too strong? or were they just generally accepted heroes that people didnt want to play against. It practically became the norm before the international, but once the international came you didnt see that banning combination, you saw something else.. so those statistics were thrown out the window and hence useless.

Another example of statistics being beneficial:

Looking at certain heroes win rates against another hero. like specific hero to hero win/loss %'s. This isnt the be all end all of oh he hard counters someone else. but its the building blocks for theory craft. saying why is that the case?

Now it is true that a fraction of 1% is the top tier competitive play, but that trickles into the pub scene, everyone has their favorite teams and players, and thus their favorite heroes because they see their favorite pro's playing a certain hero. So in a sense that top 1% of play influences the rest of the 99% of play in a way.

I do definately agree with you in saying that theres hero by hero cases of heroes being hard to play, theres a reason morph and meepo have the lowest win rates in the entire game. They have a HUGE learning curve for the hero, its why like you said lich, lion, veno, all those heroes like that have a higher win rate, they have a more shallow learning curve and thus are easier to play super effectively!

yeah man i totally relate, i was in the same situation too, between my LAN center friends and my online group of friends.

If your carry player's being really BM, and this is gonna sound really cliche but prove your carry wrong, dont tell him how much better you are (if you think that way) show him with your play.

And on the subject of not playing with a carry who wants to win, youve clearly never run into me in a pub haha, just ask anyone around here.. winnings kind of a hobby of mine .

And finally i couldnt have said that better. if your losing with a group of friends then your learning. Some dude on the internet once said that you learn better by getting the crap kicked out of you better than if you are pubstomping some kids. Lose together, learn together, have a good time together.. once you correct your mistakes and improve upon things then your going to have trouble having a bad time.

Dark seer did get a nerf, and most of the time if your getting naga you wont get enigma.. just from my experience, but i see where your coming from.



Minus 12 is more than a small nerf my friend it makes those early last hits that much harder because she was only hitting high 40s low 50s after early stat items, quelling blade is pretty much a must unless your uncontested



Just my personal preference since i like the damage when im farming, if im not doing that and im farming well then im going to go tranquil boots so i can get a faster radiance or perseverance for my linkinsphere.

Like i said, it all comes down to in game situation and personal preference, like radiance rushes you try to tank up fast and get some regen so you dont die as easily when your trying to save the 3.8k gold. I like the phase boots because it lets me last hit in a lane better and it gives me the small burst of movement speed when i need to run away and dont have my ult

I use those frost blue siberia v2's, such good audio quality and i havent gotten complaints about the mic so so far so good, plus theyre super light and they dont feel like you have a giant weight on your head.
