I'd really enjoy a video on ganking focused on the mid-lane. What factors should be considered when deciding to leave lane and gank, or stay in lane and farm.
E.g: enemy top lane is over-extended, but i just forced my mid-opponent out of lane. What should be running through my head at this point? Should I stay and collect on the free-farm I just earned myself, or should I give up that chance at farm and use it to go for a few kills top/bottom? or The enemy mid just went bot, but our bot lane is doing a good job of stack/pull and are fairly safe under their tower. Do I go top lane for the surprise? Do I follow bot and try to protect that lane? Just free-farm? I understand that your most farm-dependent hero should be in the safe-lane with a support to maximize GPM, but are there situations where that bit of cash mid-lane is more important than pressuring the other lanes? |

Posted by Gambit I was thinking that we might do guides on heroes or aspects of dota. This might be a fun way for us to learn new things as well as introducing new players to our community. We should probably try to avoid subjects that already been covered by everyone else (warding, pulling, etc), so maybe specific hero guides or stuff like team compostions or item flexibility? We will need someone to take care of the video part (light video editing, nothing too fancy) and 1-2 people to record the voice part. I've already got some ideas on a guide to jungling Lycan post 6.75 (when the weaker wolves were introduced) and have several replays ready to be used if we want to go that route. What are your thoughts? How about you fucking log on steam and ts once in a while? |

Well, I downloaded OBS, and tried streaming last night and was jumping about from 10-50 fps, my upload speed is only 1.9mbps so I am told that I am fairly limited by that ( Yayyy Ireland ) I will keep fiddling around with the setting and what not but the way its looking right now, I probably won't stream but use OBS to record videos instead, then post them on youtube which should work alot better, my first vid will probably be "Knowns guide to losing mid lane" followed by and advanced look at "How to feed with Dark Seer"

Probably no point in me streaming till I work out what quality I can run it at, I just checked and I get almost 70mbps UPLOAD in the university lol, and only 2 at home, I will try again tonight see how it goes but most likely, if it is possible with OBS I will stream to file ( if I can even do that, i.e if I can still do it without logging in through a streaming site ) tonight and make a test video, not that my play should be taken as gospel but I think it would be fun and helpful to look back at my games and see why my choice to go Vroom Vroom Omnidouche build lost us the game
