Not yet. We are looking for enough players. So far we have a couple captains and a few interested players. I want to have at least one team but two would be the most amazing thing to hit the planet.

Ok. I like that idea. Maybe we should hold like a briefing thing to set up what roles people will play and what hero they should use and discuss the correct way to build those characters. Idk. Just a thought.

That sounds awesome. That time should work for me too. I don't know international times well but that I like in the morning in London I want to say and like middle of the day in Russia. And like after noonish in eastern Asia. For anyone wanting estimations. If anyone has new friends that want to learn though. We need them.

Well my time zones are screwy. Two hours might not be bad. We would have to see about people on the east coast of the US though. Once we get some more people, we can collaborate and organize a good time. Are weekends better because that can possibly work.

Attention all new Dota players!

Due to the fact that us new players are pretty sucky, I have devised a plan with the help of fallenelf86 and UnoPolak to create a mentoring program for our new players. The process is simple. We get a group of 5 new dota players and we play a few matches (Either match making or bots) and let fallenelf86 and UnoPolak review the games' replays. After that, both of them will comment on where we went wrong and the good things we did. After that, we might play more games to futher refine our skills and one day take down all the teams during season 2 of the season here on DotaNoobs. To check out the current season, go here. If you are interested in joining this little group, please leave your in-game name and what time is best for you to play these games. The other day, I was playing Templar Assassin in the middle lane and actually doing alright. Is this dumb luck or a legit strategy?

Now that it seems we have enough players, I want to begin discussing timing. Would about 7pm EST on Saturday the 2nd work for everyone? Times are subject to change. If you can't make it (Players) pm me and I will see if we can reschedule. Get there earlier than 7 because we have 6 players that are interested. Someone might not fit in this first round. Don't be worried if you don't make it in. We will accept all players once we get some more experience with the whole system.

First off, thanks fallenelf for agreeing to take time out of your day to do this. Secondly, I think if we took one particular topic such as last hitting or ganking or warding and really went in depth into it with some guides then maybe that weekend, put all that we have learned into a bot match then we could really start building a foundation of knowledge that we can apply in a game. I think having one thing to focus on a week and really getting comfortable with that one thing will make the games so much better for each of us as well as making the game funner because we will win more often.

I agree. I was just saying that in order to really learn, we need someone to teach and direct not just grade our work. I think that if we really want to learn different roles, we can work at that through guides and practice. It might be best to do it one step at a time rather than lobby and get our rears handed to us. It's definitely rough though. That will take time but we can really do I believe.

I agree with the captain idea. Leading can be difficult though. I don't know what fallenelf or uno will have to say on being a captain. I just think that if we can work on one particular skill a week then we will see a dramatic increase in our play.
