I restarted Steam and the bitch kicked into gear, heyo!!!! Edit2: Got about 6 missions in, lost two of my top 4 guys, so I just rage-quit without saving and figure I'll start over now that I know what I'm doing. Bed time before work now haah. Funny story, I woke at 6 AM est and noticed you were playing. Now was this you still playing from midnight, or was this you waking up early to play? |

Posted by zap_brannigan456 As much as I hate buying cosmetic items...ie TF2 Hats, Keys, ect.... I have already been lured into buying 3 DOTA keys for treasure chests. I am not sure how I will fair once they have more items out for more characters. This contest does seem pretty awesome though, the TF2 Items were very well done. I never thought I'd be sucked into the whole item thing, but I'll be damned if I'm not eagerly awaiting some WR items. |

Posted by binaryatrocity I really have only played WR maybe twice, I think this Sunday I'll play her exclusively and see what all the hype is about. Probably in my top 5 favorite heroes. So much fun to play and with a diverse skill set. She can support well and semi-carry really really well. |

DotaNoobs Sunday Showdown Special Guest Sign up Games 10-14-12 @ 3:00 PM CST
We just received confirmation from our special guest(s) that they will be joining us for a few games this Sunday evening. While our guests aren't professional players, they're consistently rising in popularity on the Dota2 scene, especially on Reddit. I'm sure many of you have watched their videos on a weekly basis, getting a good laugh at the mistakes of others. This Sunday we're going to be welcoming SUNSfan and possibly Reaves from Dota Cinema (http://www.dotacinema.com/) to our In-houses. Same as with Synderyn, we're going to be doing sign ups below for the first match or two. We're not sure how long SUNSfan can stick around, but he's very excited to play a few fun matches and generally have a good time. Signups for the first two games are first come first serve. We're going to take 8 signs ups with 2 alternates, the first alternate will takes Reaves' place just in case he can't make it. During this event the following special rules will be enforced in order to maintain a professional and mature playing environment. 1.) All players will play the match normally, without any hidden agendas or targets. 2.) When games are in session the guest’s team channel is completely off limits, except for his team members, and the DotaNoobs staff. Their team audio will be pumped into a special listen only room for those interested parties. 3.) The games will be casted and we will not tolerate raging of any sort. Act just as you would if you were out in public with your family. 4.) Don’t be a dick. It’s our motto, follow it. Basically, just have fun. SUNSfan is definitely looking forward to playing some matches and may have mentioned insta-locking a certain Cheiftan that may be released today. We’re very excited about this event and I know it’s going to be a blast! Feel free to invite your friends and family, but please try not to post any thing on the major dota2 hubs until after the even has taken place! Yeah, its works best on towers actually, normally using it in a team fight is tricky because it pins her down and a pinned down Windrunner is a dead Windrunner. It has its uses,sure but its not something you going to be actively looking for in a team fight. I usually hold off on getting it til level 11 or 12. Exactly, max Powershot and Shackle first, with 1 point in Windrun, then grab 2 in Ulti, then max Windrun is the normal build I go. If I'm getting harassed a lot I might grab a second point in Windrun to get some harass free cs. |

The only other game I have played similar to this format is Commands, and just from the brief demo of Xcom....it kind of blows Commands out of the water. How does Multiplayer work in this game though? From what we've seen in the video posted above its just head to head, I think you have a separate multiplayer squad you take care of but I'm not sure. Alverez and I will be trying out Multiplayer sometime this week(end) and we will stream it for your enjoyment if you watn to watch Taking bets on the winner. Posted by radav The Tiny + Wisp stuff is awesome! Would like to learn how to play Wisp once I've improved some. Wisp is a weird hero to play. He's skills aren't extremely difficult to get down, but what is tough is coordinating with your team. I know players like Shane like to be pretty aggressive, whereas others like to farm a lot until they're aggressive. Playing Wisp without an good farming/gank oriented squad can be a bit rough. |
