For a long time, about 5 years, I have had this tiny little computer with 3GB of RAM and a way old graphics card. I have been looking to upgrade to a new computer but I have very little funds to support this. Anyone know where I can get some cheaper parts to custom build?

I have looked around there a lot. Maybe I should get a job. School makes that hard.

I think that is a great idea. Were you thinking going into captains mode games?

That makes a lot of sense but a lot of the time, moving out of that comfort zone will produce unexpected results that can really fun or very effective. As newer players, we want to move into that secondary role and let the big bad vets stomp the bad guys but one day, we might want to stomp as well. Moving around roles will help to develop all skills too and will help to make each player a more rounded and adaptable player.

Yeah. If at the end of all of this and we still suck, I want it at least to be a fun time sucking. From here we can really do something right and learn a ton.

I can only imagine that. I haven't been able to build up a carry to do that yet but I'm sure its epic.

yeah. I haven't tried running dota on my laptop but it has 4GB of RAM but integrated graphics in the processor so it heats up when I try and play anything.

I have all the external hardware. I would need the internal stuff and a case.

I have integrated 3000 so I probably shouldn't even try.

Just as a suggestion, no promises, we seem to have a lot of people willing to mentor the new players so what if we tried a one on one session kind of thing. Its a long shot but I think it will provide what everyone wants. Then, after a while of training, we can put the group of new player together and see how we do then. I know its a lot to do for the mentors but if anyone is willing to we can iron the right things out.

Yeah. That's the thing. I want to be able to play other games as well. For example, I played the hell out of Torchlight and I want to get the second one and I will probably be addicted to that as well.

Ah. Makes sense. I'm new to the item thing. In time i will figure it out.

Never checked it out. I got the first torchlight for $10 and was totally worth it. What's it like?
