I'll definitely be on later, but time is going to be up in the air. Rain is happening in my area for the next few days so I'll be on tomorrow night/saturday as well.

My best heroes are WR, ES, Lesh, Shadow Shaman and Death Prophet (usually solo mid for a quick blood stone).

Bots are great for last hitting, but you'll learn so much more from a real game. I'd be happy to play a MM game with you guys tonight. I'm not great, but I know the basics, and I'm sure we can get someone better than me to help out.

Hmm, I've never played him as support. I think it would be really tough to do so.

Alchemist is a weird mix of heroes. He's useful in a team fight since his ulti gives him insane health regen (not sure if it stacks with a heart?) and his acid spray lowers defense pretty nicely (-6). The few times I've played him, I've generally used him to nullify one of the other team's heavy hitters. Unstable to initiate (even a small stun works), acid spray, ulti, attack, unstable again (this time full amount, 4 seconds) and you'll have a kill.

Alternatively, I've used him in conjunction with someone like leshrac or jakiro. A tanky, melee hero will initiate, you can acid spray/stun, then ulti while your support/pusher ulti's. You might die, but they'll definitely get the kill.

Edit: Purge just played a good hard carry Alchemist game.

The only question I have is why go Radiance at 35 min mark? Wouldn't it have been better to go for an MKB or Mjolnir? Only 300 gold more but seems a lot more useful. Radiance would help with farm early on, but he didn't really need it at that point. The speed and attack boost seem better. Anyone have any thoughts?

My office's IT department recently decided to install Invincea onto our computers. It's so awesome! That was sarcasm. I can't actually see what I'm typing right now, because apparently, I can only use IE with this system, and it doesn't render properly. Anyone else's office like to screw with them?

The board doesn't render right in IE? I think its teh current default theme, it looks TERRIBLE in IE. Try switching from the user menu? Should i switch the default back to the old one? Guess we really need to create our own.)

Hmm, I hope this pops up correctly. Doesn't look like any of the other themes will work. IE defaults the text boxes to white, so the white text is invisible. I guess they're trying to make me actually work while at work. Lame.

You guys familar with this site? If not you should be! Its the tits!

Best website EVER. When I built my comp 2 years ago I stumbled across this site and now recommend it for everyone when they first set up their new machine. Makes settting up a new computer so easy and fast.

One day while in college, I found myself running through the streets with no umbrella or jacket as the sky decided that it was going to downpour. Caught in the rain I sought shelter under a bus stop, until a classmate hopped off the bus and offered to share his umbrella back to our dorm. When we arrived he said, "You don't own an umbrella? An umbrella is cornerstone of a gentleman's wardrobe."

With that being said, as well as the conversation that arose around a certain pocket square (Found It), what does everyone consider to be a staple of a gentleman's wardrobe?

What are some of everyone's favorite sites and stores to buy said wardrobe?

I love wearing cufflinks for no reason at all. Most of my friends at the office think it's stupid and a bit of a waste, but I own 20-25 sets of cufflinks that range from Ghostbusters to a Superman emblem to normal, boring shapes. I'll wear any set to almost any meeting or event I have at work and have always either gotten a laugh or had conversation spring up a around them (especially my Superman links Awesomeness). Amazon has a surprisingly good selection of cufflinks but I also love browsing around Etsy to find interesting ones.

In the Pacific Northwest (where it rains for several months straight) umbrellas are seriously out of fashion and waterproof jackets are in. We usually assume people carrying umbrellas are visiting or are otherwise new to the area.

I finally bought a rain jacket from REI and it's by far the best purchase I've made in a while. I ride my bike around a lot and just keep the jacket rolled up in my bag. The random shower's we've been getting in the DC area have made this jacket a must have.

What's everyone's thoughts on the HUD/new icons for items? I was thinking the new HUD looks a lot cleaner and simpler. I'm looking forward to playing with it sometime over the next few days. What's everyone else think? Linky

New Lion as well. I kinda liked it. Fits his voice a bit better, but I was getting used to the old one. I wonder if they're going to update any others?

There was a while where I felt like I was only playing paradox games haha, Magicka and MountBlade took a lot of my time earlier this year.I know there are a few other titles by them I've played recently as well. never heard of crusader kings, whats it like?

Every time someone mentions Magicka I feel the need to boot it up and play it. It's so much fun. I don't think I've ever beaten the campaign though. My friends and I had more fun surprise killing each other mid-battle.

Apple is out of the picture, lets just get that out there first. You would be overpaying for an under-performing machine, which is what happened to my dad when he purchased his a few months ago. At that point they had not switched to using sandy bridge processors.

Second, why do you want a laptop? Specifically, can you buy a cheaper, smaller and ultimately more portable laptop to suit your office program and internet needs?

It is way cheaper to buy a basic laptop and build your own gaming desktop, or at least purchase one from Dell or the like. Its safer too since you will have a space to backup any data, since laptops are notorious for breaking down.

I've been building computers for a long time now and the only argument I've seen so far for buying a laptop with gaming capability is if you travel a lot and will not be around enough to use your desktop.

This is fantastic advice. I'm helping my buddy build a comp before he starts grad school. I talked him out of the "gaming laptop" and into a stronger desktop with a cheap laptop. All you really need in a laptop is browsing, word processing, etc.

So I was thinking, since we have a pretty wide range of ages and skill levels in the group, it might be fun to do a over 21 vs. under 21 game tonight. Or maybe a best 2 out of 3? Something like that, just to mix skill levels a bunch. Just a thought. Hey it might be fun.
