I am going to be doing a short video highlighting my spectacular failure at laning against a solo mid Pudge tomorrow with BearHug and Gambit. We won't stream it, but will upload it to the youtube account later. The matchid is 156912224 if you want to see the feeding yourself.

I play a lot of support and recommend picking the following heroes up:

1) KotL: strong laning support with partners that can spam spells, strong anti-push later game
2) Venomancer: very early aggression (best lvl 1 slow in game), push and anti-push in mid-game
3) Lion: two disables and a strong nuke, useful in learning how to gank effectively
4) Shadow Demon: damage amplification scales well into late game, but skills can be tricky to use correctly

Most American thing about this movie? The name uses patriotic ounces instead of socialist grams.

Hey there, and welcome! The best thing to do is get on our TeamSpeak server (voice.dotanoobs.com), join a busy channel and introduce yourself. There is a group of new players (thread here) that are trying to play together and then hand off the replays to more experienced people for feedback. Or you can jump straight into the fire and party up with higher MMR people if you so desire. Cheers!

Hey there! Being able to sit in the TS3 channel and at least hear what your team is saying is a great help, so if that is what you are able to do or most comfortable with go for it. Most of the match making groups form spontaneously on the TS3 server, so you can hop on there, join a busy channel and introduce yourself. We are also going to be going back to weekly scheduled IH games soon, so keep tuned for that. Cheers!

Welcome to the community mate! The TS3 server (voice.dotanoobs.com) is the place where most of the action happens, and if you have any questions or problems just let me know. Cheers!

Cheers mate, glad you found us! We have been around a while, so there is a wide range of skill levels about. Just let people know that you are new and be open to listening to the deluge of information that the more experienced people will give you. There is a group of fairly new players that have been getting a few games in together and then passing them off for comments, so that may be a good fit for you as well. See you around!

Hey-o Quartermaster. Hopefully your TS3 woes have been worked out, but if not I will add you on steam later and try to figure out what is going on. Cheers!

So one team picks Radiant Strength and bans Dire Strength, other team does the opposite? I love the sound of it!

I thought it was in CM you ban and pick from 1 tavern and the other team does the same from a different tavern. Or am I just stupid?

Or are we kinda changing the rules just for trolls

That is how it works if just you are doing the tavern, but if it is a tavern vs. tavern match then I think banning from the other pool makes sense.

Howdy there! I would recommend playing a few heroes to get comfortable with the game as a whole and then start randoming heroes to step out of your comfort zone. Watching streams of high-level players is also a good way to notice new techniques and strategy. Cheers!
