Which expansions are you thinking? There is base, Gods+Kings, and Brave New World. We tried to do Civ5 before Brave New World and the netcode was abyssmal (constant disconnects, etc) but I have heard it is better now.

We have arrived at our destination. I looked out of the left, I mean port windows and saw a barren looking moon. At first I thought it was a mistake and went to the starboard side only to be greeted with, well stars. Our Captain Kree-von-Cuddlesniper assures me that moons are perfect for mining. She keeps looking nervously over at the fuel gauge whenever she thinks I am not looking. Time to prepare the rebreathers...

The mutiny was put down quickly. At the first scent of it Captain Kree-von-Cuddlesniper called in her cold weather and dictator specialist, John "Putin". The pickaxes of the crew were no match for his brain extractor, and I try not to look too closely at the soup that is now heating over our precious barrel fire. I must just keep digging, digging for the coal that will get me home.

We left the real stars behind over a week ago, now we walk from flickering torch to flickering torch in search of coal. Putin has taken pity on us after putting down the mutiny and built us a small home down in the bottom of this pit. At least I think it is pity, there is a room in the back with just a campfire and a chair that has me worried. I just want to go back to my pond, I just want to go home...

We have trudged back to the surface of this forsaken moon with enough coal to fuel the ship. I am now resting and listening to the space radio as the ship engine's spin up. Strange reports from the frontier planets of ships disappearing beyond their borders are trickling in and I am even more eager to get home and be done with this adventuring.

I am fairly confident that the group stages will be at the hotel and not at Valve, so no sneak peeks at HL3 will be included in the VIP tickets.
