TL;DR: Should we have a place to have people with extra keys they don't want to give them away so we can grow our numbers. *Edit: I'm a moron* |

Posted by CaptWalmart I was kicking around the idea after seeing Purge and a few other high level players do this, of offering coaching to our newer players.* I know Valve is offering a Mentor program eventually but for the time being this could help. The idea I had was we could have a spot on the forums for mentors/students to sign up, and we could have like time-slots where mentors would be available to help people who are new for learning a hero, item builds, positioning, etc. I've noticed that quite a few people who are showing up are like completely new to the game so having some observed coaching could help. Just an idea though, thoughts? Think you accidentally this whole post... ;-) |

i have been emailing steam and valve to get myself keys to invite my buddies, if anybody has an extra one i would def love to send it to the guy who introduced me to dota1
but i dont want this community turning into a whoring keys community |

i would, but as soon as a key is used it should be removed. otherwise there would be a whole lot of extra pm'ing and pointless posts

Yeah a members-only forum would probably work.
Instead of a trading thread though, we could ask valve for some keys that will be given out as we broadcast the last hitting tournament. |
