So today in the IRC (what IRC, no one said anything about irc.oftc.net #dotanoobs) our good and reliable programmer binaryatrocity (who is also keeping the spammers out) issued a challenge to me about a 1v1 match solo mid. Essentially what happened is binary was bragging about how he is the best player in dotanoobs and how he's just been trying ot play at our level. I tried to be nice about it, you all know how nice I am about everything, but he kept insisting. I suggested maybe we could play mid and I could learn a few things, but he said "No 1v1 solo mid noob. Loser gives the other 5 keys." I was forced to accept.

Blessing and Uno will be picking our heroes for this 3 round bout and I will also be streaming it at some point. If you'd like to spectate, jump into the CHALLENGE channel at some point tonight.

Rules:
There will be 3 rounds of mid-only play. Round 1 will be melee heroes, Round 2 will be ranged heroes, and Round 3 will be Shadow Fiend v Shadow Fiend.
The winner of each round will be determined by the following criteria:
1. The first to 3 kills or,
2. The first to destroy the tier 1 tower

If the criteria is not met for a winner by the 10 minute mark, the person with most CS + Denies will be declared the winner.
The hero pool will be chosen by UnoPolak and myself, and each competitor will tell us 2 picks in secret. Binary and Fallen will each get priority in one of the first 2 matches. Which round you have preference in will be determined by coin flip. If both people choose the same hero as #1 in a round, the person who has priority will be given their #1 choice. The #2 choice will then be used for the other person.

The winner of this best of 3 will receive 5 keys (chosen by the winner and not to exceed $12.50 total) from the losing player.

The eve of the battle there was some "confusion", wherein the Elf conveniently misinterpreted a later conversation I had with the Polak and assumed this to be my forfeiture. Needless to say, this is pure buffoonery, and a sad attempt by the feeble elf to escape the challenge while maintaining his own dignity in the community.

Alas, the both of us are indisposed for the next week, selflessly cheering on the Defenders of the Ancients in their greatest battle of the season at Benaroya Hall (go mouz!). Upon our return, I demand BLOOD.
