Well the time is upon us, and dates for The International 4 are officially posted. It's earlier in the year and a tad more expensive this time around, but I think I'm still in for the trip. Tickets go on sale on Friday, and I will be trying to buy a few at least to have reserved.

We already have a bigger crowd than last year, and I don't doubt a few others will be there I haven't heard about yet (will Sponge and/or Essem be back as media? I will reach out to them)

Finally get to make it this year! Hopefully I can snag a few tickets as well.

My gf and I are planning to attend and getting at least floor seats. We've also been discussing potentially getting the VIP tickets since we won't have many travel costs. I'm really not sure on that though... (I'm not a huge fan girl so I'm not sure if the VIP meet ups would be worth it, but I'll admit the live group stage would be fun.) Either way, floor seats!

Floor seats are tempting but I'm assuming most people coming will be in GA, so I'll stick to that so I can sit with the Doobs crowd. We'll appreciate all of your Floor Seat stories in our off time though

I am fairly confident that the group stages will be at the hotel and not at Valve, so no sneak peeks at HL3 will be included in the VIP tickets.

People asking about La Casa Del Vodka:

Yes I can host anyone who doesn't mind not being downtown. We have plenty of crashing space, blankets, sleeping bags etc. Our car can transport up to four people to the event. If there's no traffic we're 30 minutes from Key Arena (the house is half way between Bothell and Woodinville). We also have plenty of parking space so if you're looking to rent a car and see more of Seattle while you're here/don't want to be driven around by me you're free to rent a car and park it at our place. We are not located near any bus stops but are 5 minutes drive from a few.

If you want to crash here just let me know in Steam/TS. I can forward you the original real estate listing which will give you an idea of where we are/what the place is like. Also let me know if you have any dietary/other restrictions. Our household has some gluten free/dairy free people so we can accommodate you. We're not a completely gluten/dairy free household however so if you have issues such as celiac disease be sure to let me know!

I have a VIP ticket. Can I crash at Casa Del Vodka and have a lift to the group stage games?

I won't be able to drive you to the group stage games, but I can drop you off at/pick you up from the nearest bus stops (about 5 min drive).

I don't have a VIP ticket, but can I come to your place on the 7th and watch from your place?

Sure. I'll be trying to work remote/take time off during the group games so will be around, but I won't be driving around so unless you're renting a car you'll either be stuck at my place or using public transport.

How is your internet? Will I be able to dotes while I'm there?

Our internet has been kinda flakey lately, looking into it. We also don't have much in the way of desk space, but we could probably figure it out. Just don't play ranked games!

Downsides of crashing with Vodka?

I have children with autism. They're cute kids, but they're also smallish kids (4 and 8) that are behind on their social/communication skills. If you wake them, you're reading them bedtime stories until they fall asleep.

That also means no Dance Central competitions at 10pm.

It really depends how many people are coming. The shed has an upstairs with space for 2, but there's no bathroom in there so you'd be walking back to the house and upstairs for a midnight pee.

Haven't really thought about that yet. I could potentially do two trips. Can cross that bridge when we get to it.

No smoking of any kind in the house. If you're looking to take advantage of our local laws just please let me know ahead of time. There aren't any stores open yet and I don't know when there will be. In the event they are and/or other arrangements are made edibles + vaping are OK so long as they're kept out of reach of the kids and you know your limits.

Sounds great, Orb and I got a place just across the street from KeyArena, and we will certainly be looking to hit the bars a few nights after games are over. I'll try to stay on Steam Chat while in Seattle, but maybe closer to July we can create a private steam group and swap contact info.
