This is the thread for all things related to your specific character. Feel free to start brainstorming on your character, and if you need the handbooks just PM me for a link. One thing that I am asking everyone to do is come up with three things you would like to see/do/etc in the game, from having a ballad written about you to battling your evil twin. These can help me figure out what each person wants to get from the game and personalize it. If some of these deal with the other players and you want to keep it a secret, just PM them to me. Have at it!

Well, after a rather masochistic decision to give my character completely over to the Lords of the Dice, I rolled my character during the Doobs meet up at TI4.
We set up the weightings for the dice so that the weird and wonderful races and classes required the highest value rolls. After some spectacularly lucky (or unlucky as the campaign may prove) rolling, I managed to get not only the Goliath race, but I'm apparently a Seeker class - which I've yet to fully discover what that is. Apparently I'm a cross between Nature's Prophet and Bloodseeker, twerking to the forest spirits in exchange for powers to hunt down my foes.... On the up side, given that my character is apparently 7"8 ish, I'm so lucky I didn't get something like a rogue. It'd be akin to the Tank from L4D using a lamp post for cover xD Anyway, bio and some of the weird character traits and such that the dice commanded I create will be coming soon when I get home to the UK. Looking forward to being the majorly odd one out! |

Oh goodness, your rolls last night...
![]() I added your character sheet to the DropBox with references for all of the powers and feats, and a few references for the background and personality traits. I still need to post the setting, hopefully drafting that on the flight home, but one thing to note is that the adventure will start fairly far from where the goliaths are commonly found. Some goliaths work as sellswords, but as a seeker you could probably come up with something to do with seeking out new spirits for why you are out and about. After all, you need more dance moves than just twerking to be a true hero... |

I took a quick look at your character sheet on roll20, and the only thing that stood out to me is that you haven't added your AC bonus for the leather armor. Put a "2" in the "Armor" category for AC and you should be good. I also decided that you should get the +1 attack bonus for the javelin and dagger regardless of if you are throwing them or not. It will simplify the macros quite a bit, and so just add the +1 bonus to the weapon entries in your inventory. Cheers!

[Vaunea's Solo Adventure, Pt. 1]
Vaunea woke with a start, her breathing heavy. Above her, a young face swam into clarity, concern etched onto her features. “Ma’am? Are you alright? You were making noises somethin’ awful.” Taking a long moment to take her surroundings, she looked up at the girl. She recognised her as one of the servants she had seen around the Inn, though the fact the girl had come to check on her struck the goliath as very strange indeed. She wasn’t aware that any time she had previously communed with the spirits in her dreams had ever had tangible effect outside of the dream. Though, she had to concede to herself that the experience she had been woken from was unlike anything she had experienced before. At home in the Galena Mountains, she had always felt a connection with the spirits in one form or another. She noticed that when she felt most connected to the spirits, her senses were keener and her arrows always fired true. The link with the spiritual realm had never been a tangible one, it was simply something she was aware of, where the world looked and felt slightly different. It wasn’t ever something that manifested further until one evening when she received her first spirit dream. Elders in her tribe had spoken of spirit dreams - often gained after long periods of meditation or fasting - however she had never expected to receive one herself. She could still vividly recall the albino panther with its strange markings, not unlike ones adorning her own skin, come to her on more than one occasion. It was always ahead of her, seeming to lead her somewhere. The more she began to accept and follow, the more it would show her. Images of places unfamiliar to her, of a spreading darkness that left her chilled even after she woke. She gradually came to the understanding that the spirit panther wanted her to seek out the source of this spiritual unrest, and redress the balance once more. It was with this purpose she had left her mountainous homeland and had journeyed far, guided only by dreams she would periodically receive from the spirits. However, the dream she had just woken from was unlike anything she had experienced before. The panther hadn’t appeared before her, this time she felt one with it; feeling the earth shift between her pads, and the faint breeze bring fresh scents before her. But the scent she caught was of fear; decaying, diseased flesh and fear. Tracking the scent further led to a large clearing in a forest, where tall mounds of upturned earth framed a gaping pit in the centre. Scents of prey of all kinds were rife; birds, foxes, badgers, and even the hunters which walked on two legs. But the animals were in cages, their screams of protest and fear barely audible over a chanting coming from the hunters lining the pit. The two-legs were watching something... waiting and chanting. Suddenly a darkness blacker than a moonless night appeared in their midst, seeming to leech the light and life right out of its surroundings. Pulling, drawing everything to its centre, feeding on all. Before she realised what she was doing, she was padding towards the darkness, eyes fixated on the centre of nothingness in its core. Leaving her concealment, her safety behind as she was drawn closer, letting the darkness envelop her, taking her within its depths. She was drowning, the shadow draining her very essence... Held there... Lost in the depths... Drowning... Drained... Empty. She pulled her mind away from that memory sharply. “Where are the others?” she asked, turning towards the girl. “I believe I heard the gnome mention something about the general store in town, though I’m not certain, ma’am.” The girl replied, still slightly wary of the half-giantess before her. “Tell them I go for a while, but be back.” She pushed past the girl, not waiting for an answer. “Yes ma’am.” The girl called behind her.
