Might as well get to know each other a little better, get a feel for what kind of talent we have around here I'll start.

I work Client Technical Services for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company. I've been there almost two years now, and I've been assigned to the H-D Museum for the last year or so which has been awesome, lots of events and VIP's coming through all the time it sure as hell beats answering phones at the corporate call-center heh.

I'm currently a Senior at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. I had plans to go to Madison for a CS degree but this Harley thing came through right at the end so I jumped ship and stayed in town. I'm an Information Technology Systems major with a CompSci minor, which means I'll be a super-senior next year! Long term I'd like to do something in Applications/Network security, but just like everyone else I secretly dream of being an indie game developer so we'll see how that goes.

Ok I'm done now its your turn.

I'm currently a sales floor associate at a retail store here in town (which is why my schedule has been so random as of late). It's not the most glory filled job in the world, but hey, someone's gotta do it .

As for the schoolings, i'm a college drop out. Was going for CompSci, but was going to switch to Information Systems before I got placed on academic suspension/nearly having a breakdown in class.

Naval Officer for 50 more days, then... consultant, I think. Interviewing at a bunch of places in the coming weeks. Hopefully some good options, but it looks like the top 3 are all consulting jobs. If anyone needs consultation, let me know. We can get together for a consult. Practicing my jargon.

consulting what exactly? business? tech? tax?

its like saying "i am an analyst" "what is it that you do" "i analyse" "what exactly does that entail" "well i walk into a business and say 'Hmmm... yes this is a business'"

Fundraiser for a firm in DC. Kinda boring, but decent hours and nice benefits (I sound like an old man).

My profession! Well... I've always wanted to be a baker.

Yes a baker.

Ok, jokes aside, majoring in a Computer Science degree, I also work at my local Barnes and Noble during summer/winter breaks.

IT consulting for businesses, everything from risk management to implementation of new systems. I'm not exactly sure myself what it will entail, but I'll get back to you once I get my feet under me.

I am a chemist. I actually just turned in my dissertation and have my defense within the next few weeks. Before I started graduate school I was a research technician and a swimming/triathlon coach.

Thanks. In this department, our defenses are mostly just a formality but I'm still at stress level maximum. Not for much longer though.

System Administrator. Been a Windows admin for the first 5 years of my career. Last few years have been working on administrating primarily virtual, SAN, and backup environments.

Kinda the same thing I'd be doing if unemployed - except the folks I work for buy better toys.
