So my last "your favourite" thread did really well. So round 2, what are your favourite movies. No top 3 this time, since there are just so many movies.

Again I'll start:

1) any mel brooks movie - I love anything that his name attached. he is a slapstick comedy genius, along with satire and subtle jokes he is just a revolutionary comedy film-maker
(Mel brooks movies you MUST watch if you havent: Blazing Saddles, History of the World Part 1, To be or not to be, spaceballs, robin hood: men in tights)

2) In bruges - hilarious, colin farrels best movie by far

3) Inception - how thrillers should be done

4) Lord of War - i just love this movie, i dont know why but i can watch it again and again (guilty pleasure)

5) scott pilgrim - a movie based on a great comic based in my hometown (guilty pleasure)

6) shawshank redemption - hands down one of the best movies of all time

7) deer hunter - a classic, the russian roulette scenes are just amazing

i have so many more i cant think of right now i'll probably post more later(i'm a movie geek, along side my already tech/gaming/music geekiness)

This, In Bruges is an amazing movie, even if one of the best lines is in a deleted scene

Though some of my favorite movies are Office Space, Dogma, In Bruges, The Book of Eli and Idiocracy.

false! best line is "bruges would interest me if i grew up on a farm and was retarded. but i wasnt, so it isnt!"
or "I feel the scales will be tipped a wee bit towards culture, like a big fat black retarded girl opposite a midget"

Lies, the best line is the "Fuck off, Midgets!" quote.

There are so many video games too. What is your point?

Here are some of my all time favs:

1. The City of Lost Children

2. Yojimbo/Sanujuro

3. Serenity

4. Rob Roy

5. Snatch

And, as an honorable mention - The Cowboy Bebop series... if anime counts.

on that note if you havent seen rock'n'rolla yet you should. same film style as snatch, great acting and directing.

I liked Spirited away, but not a favorite. But it was good.

Rock'n'Rolla was... meh. Saw it in the theater. Gotta say that I'm luke warm on most Guy Ritchie flicks, and he's one of the more overrated folks film. Snatch and Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels were his best films imo.
