Hey all!

Brand new Dota2 player here. Forgive me if this gets a bit long winded.

I've been a Dota2 lurker for a while now, catching Twitch streams or in-client games when I can. I've done a bunch of noob youtubin' and reading. I've only played a few matches against the bots and have yet to tackle any actual player games.

Personal history: I'm 30 years old and have been playing games for a while. Currently I'm into Dota and Hearthstone and am located in Virginia, US playing on US East. I did the original Dota thing a few years back but haven't played since 2005-ish. I loved the community, there was (is?) so much passion for this game. People seem to use these buzzwords "toxic" and "cancer" regarding the community, I don't think much has changed. We've always been this way! It's just simply people getting frustrated at something they're incredibly passionate about. I know they don't mean the things they say. So no hard feelings!

Anyway, I'm looking for some people to play with and laugh and joke and learn. Great site, I look forward to playing with you!
