Hi all, I have been playing DOTA 2 on and off for a few weeks. I have a pretty nutty real life so my game time comes in bursts. Anyway, I like playing support or non-primary carries so often my public games aren't very fun since there is little or no effective team play. I would love to play some games with groups who implement some level of team strategy.

Hey Mike, it's definitely much better rolling with a group. I'm fairly new too and still under 100 wins. Captains mode can be especially fun with a good regular group. My nick on steam is the same as my forum username. Add me and maybe we can play a few games.

Awesome. My user name is also the same. I will add you as a friend next time I am on. Currently, my favorite heroes are

Dazzle (support, I like healing)
Necrolyte (soft carry- he's too much of a FF target to be pure support, you need armor and resistance items)
Ogre Magi (support, i especially like staying with a good hard carry because i have a high damage stun and bloodlust)

I've experimented with some hard carries but since most pub games EVERYONE picks carry heroes, I tend to favor support roles to balance my teams a little.
