Awesome game! Easily worth $60.

Happy to answer any questions about it as well.

Well, what you do is. You take that list, and take a lighter to it. Then grab a A1 sheet of paper, grab a marker with some glitters and write GUILD WARS 2 in giant capitalized letters. Add glue and glitter, with some stars for added flair and stick it to your monitor.

Never played a guild wars game. I'm in the middle of a second Witcher 2 playthrough. I'm trying to make my way through most of the games I've bought during sales before I start buying more.

I just can't justify getting into a MMO lol. @fallenelf86 how is Witcher? I've never played either of them but hear awesome things, I'll have to keep my eye out for a SteamSale.

The first one is fun, with a great story, but kind of meh game play. The combat is pretty weak as well.

The second game, imo, is probably one of the greatest games I've ever played. Completely revamped the combat system, you have magic, light attack, strong attacks, bombs, side weapons, etc that you can use pretty quickly and makes Geralt fight exactly how you want to. You can't fill your entire skill tree so you need to pick a path fairly early on. The story is fantastic, pretty dark, and the choices actually have a large impact on game play. Some decisions will close off entire "worlds." The Enhanced Edition is fantastic as well adding lots of new content and a fixing a bunch of bugs. Highly recommend!!

Thanks for the in-depth explanation, I think you sold me. I've seen many a poor soul spending hours on this game (*cough*  Alverez all last weekend *cough*) and have been curious. It is wholly single-player, correct?

Edit: Don't mean to hi-jack the thread. GUILD WARS 2 w00t!

Hi-jack complete.

Yeah, wholly single player, but you'll need to play it through 4 or 5 times to see everything and try out the different builds (there are 4 or 5). The added a new difficulty as well with new items and weapons specific to it. Gotta support CD Projekt Red too, super awesome company.

Yeah, I've not finished it yet. I've saving it because I have a new training bike on its way and I'm going to be working my butt off, and since it has great game pad support I figure I can knock it out while knocking out these winter pounds.

That is such an epic idea.... I think I'm gonna go price out a TV and HTPC for the workout room in the basement lol. Talk about motivation!

Yep, I have a nice HDTV right next to my comp and buying a HDMI for that was probably one of the best things I've ever done.

Yeah I have this already, I have a TV Tuner in the desktop so I can record live TV from cable etc, use Windows Media Center with a remote control for dvd's movies netflix etc. I also have a 360 and a PS3 controller hooked up, playing Teemo @ League of Legends with a controller was a blast haha.

Sadly, my workout room is on the other end of the house.... we shall have to remedy this situation.

This is great to hear.

The first GW had amazing graphics and a great story. The combat and class system however were so underwhelming that I really ended up not playing much of it.

What I've seen from GW2 - it's so good, that I'm likely to pick it up when it is released.

I want to say fallenelf86 was talking about the Witcher series in that post But I could be wrong as I haven't played GW or Witcher so I have no idea who Geralt is.
