Anyways. I have an idea for user rankings. Here it is:

We can use nuetral monsters/creeps. This has the advantage of us having icons and textures if such things are wanted. Here is my proposed ranking list, taking from the Dota2 jungle camps:

I love this. Are there any small pictures of them we could use for this? If someone can come up with appropriate images I'll do the rest.

I can probably do this... or at least try. What sort of dimensions are we looking at?


EDIT: Just looked - the existing ones are 16x16 px. is this sufficient? Or are we looking at something larger - 25 x 25?

EDIT #2: The fact I can only post once a day in this thread is pretty lame. Can this be fixed? You'd figure as a mod I'd have the permissions to post @ will.

You can only post once a day IF you own the last post, because the board wants you to EDIT your post instead of posting a new one. I think thats good practice. Otherwise threads get big fast and our post-count gets inflated.

16x16 would be great, the bigger they get the moar crowded the <<<<---- sidebar gets.

i extracted and sent a bunch of art resources from the dota 2 resources and sent them to binary some time ago, unfortunately there is nothing really creep related inside the resources.

I do have that archive sitting on my Desktop still I'm going to extract it to our /res/ directory so their ready to go.

so the item schema was updated with new icons. tonight i'll DL the test build and dig through it again. binary, ill send you the link again for any new pictures i upload to my dropbox. i'll do some more digging and try to get you something to use for the suggested creep/neutrals board ranks.

im thinking i'll get the skeleton viewer that cyborgmatt uses and position all the neutral creeps as if it was a photo, then ill capture it. give me some time and i hope to get all that done so we can start to dotafy the board soon

Sounds awesome! If we can get the dota-ranks up I'll whip up a css theme and adjust the color scheme.
