So we've talked about re-styling the board to a more "dotanoobs' theme, and we now have a few versions of the Gem that Love is Dead and Arafelle have created for us, so lets throw around some ideas for color schemes etc.

I know the Gem itself is green, but I'm not sure if we want to run with green/black as our main color scheme. I do realize that everyone and their mother's blog is going to use red/black to match the dota logo so maybe staying away from that is a good thing.

Yep, that's my main hesitation in jumping on this. I can't really figure out a color scheme to match that gem. The art work is so amazing and we def need to get it up some how but I'm at a lost for something that would work well on the board. There are some nice color matching websites that I'll tinker around with tonight and see if I can find a palette we can work with.

I was thinking it would already fit well on the frontpage, our BG color is kind of green/cyanish at the moment. Also, we can change our Favicon from the Dota symbol to the DN gem.

the icon should def be the gem. that thing is awesome. as for the theme, maybe a tad brigher for the bg colour, the deep navy comes off as a somewhat gloomy colour. if you want to change the BG colour, you may want to use some sort of complementary colour to the green. i think there should be a nice contrast in colours, but not so much that it creates a annoying colour scheme.

Complimentary color to green is red, so we can work with that and either a black, grey, or brown background. I'll see if I can throw somethign together, but I'm terrible at design.
