I have some CS:GO beta keys available. Post your steam username and I'll send it your way. It looks pretty slick by the way. It still needs a ton of work. The client is buggy as all hell, textures seem incomplete... but it looks like it'll suck away almost as much of my life away as did CS:S.

the learning curve is pretty easy. other then being against some insane pros occasionally, you will have your start buys down in like 1 day

Haha I heard the game is changing so quickly its hard to get a grip on whats what. If you have a key left I'll throw you a few bucks for it, have been dying to check it out.

So - my beta key got eaten up by one of my IRL friends who hadn't got one yet. If I get another - i will keep this community in mind.

CS:GO is changing a lot. A few months ago it had serious problems. Stability problems, gameplay problems, etc. It still has some of those issues - but to a much lesser extent. I'd say that it's not a great deal different from CS:S - better graphics, some map changes (CS Italy is a much improved map) - but overall it's the same game.

It needs a lot of work before it's ready to go live - but I can see myself playing a ton of it when it does.

i've been trying to get screenshots of neutral creeps by posing them in the alien swarm SDK but it has so many restrictions. reading the API i know the model viewer has the necessary feature to properly pose the hero/creep models to do what i want with them. unfortunately i am stuck waiting

I actually purchased my beta key on /r/gamesell as soon as I saw it up there. I had been following this game since it was announced and I waited maybe a month or two after they started giving out keys before I said 'fuck it!' and bought one. Best $8 I ever spent.
