I heard some of you guys play GW2! I am currently on Sorrow's Furnace with nothing but low level characters lol. Where are all you guys at?

How is the game so far?

I manly enjoy those types of games for the PvE action...instances/dungeons and such...not so much a fan of PvP. I was considering getting the game, but wasn't sure if it was worth it.

Well its pretty PVP heavy but the PVE is done rather well, but its rather different from say WOW,Rift, or SWTOR in a lot of ways. That being said its all very well done and everyone seems to really enjoying their time in game. I'd highly recommend it.

I'm still only lv 25, so don't take my whole word on it without some thought, but I love the PvE elements so far. There is so much to do! Also, a major plus is the game scales your level down to match an area if you are over leveled. This means that you won't ever steamroll through content, so you can always go explore other starting areas without feeling like a juggernaut. This happens in dungeons as well, since I heard the first one has 3 other modes other than the story one. All the modes are hard and scale you to lvl 30. So even if you are level 80 with the best gear, you will still need to be on your toes to explore the other stories in the dungeons.



I will consider this heavily. I feel like my server is a ghost town. What is the PvP like for you guys?

It's not bad when we can get in. The WvW queues can be pretty long but having a good group of folks to roam around with is totally worth the weight. We're currently working on getting our Guild Updated to the point where we can craft guild based armor and we're pretty pumped about that.

Also if anyone else is thinking of picking the game up or is looking to transfer let me know! All doobs have a open invitation!

Man, I've never played a MMORPG, but now you guys are making me want to. I avoided WoW in college like the plague (I have a bit of an addictive personality).

They can be pretty addictive but GW2 seems to have a more pick up and play whenever you want attitude compared to WoW, but it might just be that I'm older now and got it all out of my system during the 5 years of WoW raiding I did ha ha!

Alright, I went ahead and switched servers. I'll be online GW2 today trying to level up and stuff.

Hey, I ended up moving to Northern Shiverpeaks to join a mega super guild with my supervisor. Hard to say no...

On the plus side, we can still guest pass and still dungeon together. Woooo

Guild Wars 2 is considered a good game, very popular now.
