I recently bought a Logitech F710 (think PS3) and a Wireless Xbox 360 controller for my PC and I am loving them I hate FPS with a controller but games like Kingdoms of Amalur, MTG 2012, Dungeon Defenders are all GREAT with it. Helps the wrists too.

Also, Split Screen Left 4 Dead 2 with the controllers is a blast.

Just outta curiosity did you build that rig? What made you go with a Intel chip and a AMD GPU?

I was doin research and waitin for a chance to snap up a 2600K rig sometime soon, those just seem to tear through everything.

I am in the same boat as you pretty much, except like one step down.
Proc: AMD Phenom II 9550 2.2 ghz
4 GiG of RAM
Video: Radeon HD 5650
Win 7 Ultimate
Also did a WD Black Edition 500 GiG HDD (that 32 Meg buffer woot!)

Yeah - for me it's a money issue. I got a really nice bonus during christmas time. Sadly - that got sucked up by fixing up my car. (

On the bright side I had some left over for some toys for myself. But sadly not enough for a new rig.

Really my machine runs dammned well for what I do. I'd prefer 8GB of RAM over the 4 I have... I'm also waiting for and USB 3.0 to become more common.

Yeah, I built it about a month ago. I went with the intel CPU because it had the best benchmarks in my price range and ran cooler than the AMD CPUs. Went with the Radeon GPU because it slightly outperformed the similar NVIDIA card. Also, both of those choices were just slightly cheaper than their competitors.

AMD CPU's have always run a little hot. I've always bought AMD for my CPU's (with a few small exceptions). The heat really doesn't affect performance as long as your machine is properly cooled.

Just my experiences....
