Hello all-

Just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Dhat Shi Cray, hailing from the east coast (THE BEAST COAST), USA. I'm fairly new to DOTA 2, but have play quite a bit of LoL. One day I realized LoL was completely childish and decided I wanted to play something different, and DOTA 2 was the answer. I've been playing it ever since and haven't looked back at LoL. Not saying I'm particularly good, but I'm looking to play a lot and get better at it. Always looking for games. Really glad such a community resource for new players exists like this. Hope to see youa ll in game soon .

Hey all-

I'm still kinda new to DOTA 2 and one of the heroes I've had my eye on for a while is Naga Siren. I tested her out in a practice game and didn't do as well as I feel I could have. I feel like her workflow/skill uses are more diverse then how I utilized them. Can anyone give me some fundamentals to work on in regards to playing Naga at a higher level of play? Thanks.

Yeah, I def build vanguard, but i typically build arcanes so i can use my spells more. I did try the radiance build but i think u may be right about it. I'm still not used to microing units but i heard somewhere u can use the illusins to farm the jungle while u farm the lane. Is that factual?

Hopped on the TS server for the first time last night. I was pretty quiet so I don't think many people noticed me, but that's a me thing. I'm usually pretty reserved in this kinds of scenarios at first, but I open up as I get to know you better. Gonna try to get games in this week with you all.

If possible I'd like to get in on a session as well. I really want to work on pulling and stacking but would also like to improve my over all decision making (i.e.: where to be when). I find when I play games as support I typically fall into the LoL habit of constantly babysitting someone and I've been told I don't really have to do that. But any help to improve advanced fundamentals would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This may come as a shock to you guys, but DOTA isn't the only game I play now (gasp!). I actually come from more of a fighting game background and still enjoy them to this day. I do own Super Street Fighter 4 on Steam, so if your looking to play or interested in learning, I'd love to go a few rounds with you (giggity). If your they type looking to learn, I don't know everything about every character but I can at least get you started with fundamentals and help you find a character that fits your play style. Final note, I would recommend some sort of controller for your PC if you wish to start playing as using the keyboard is quite difficult. I can safely recommend and Xbox wired controller, however if you want to use a PS3 controller, then you may have to download an application to make your computer able to read the controller input. So HMU

Well thankfully most fighting games that are released don't require grinding to unlock characters, just extra stuff like colors and taunts and stuff. Last game I think where u had to grind to get character was vanilla Marvel VS Capcom 3, but it took all of like 20 minutes.

Me, Sal, and Atlas have been private lobbying for the past week. Good times.

Are you typically on steam or TS3?

I just wanna go on record and say I LOVE the character Lycan in a non-gay non-twilight kinda way. But it seems like he's completely crippled with the nerfs he got. Please tell me this guy is still somewhat useful in some way. I really wanted to learn to play him but it's hard when my wolves bite the dust so fast at early levels. Maybe I'm doing something wrong ? I know you pull back wolves when they are low health, but I feel like they can barely take a hit at their first couple levels. Am I missing something here?

OK. I've been practicing by having the wolves tank the damage and buying the bas ring right away. That might be old meta though. I'll try it your way Elf. Thanks
