Hey forums,

Found this site through r/dota2 like so many others, looking to improve my Dota 2 game and play with some other like-minded individuals. I'm just over the 100 game mark so I wouldn't consider myself a total noob, but there's so much more I'd like to learn about the game/metagame so I hope I can find that here!

Anyway, getting ahead of myself, introductions--

I'm a student currently residing on the US east coast, when I'm not studying like heck (mostly for organic chemistry, that class is a nightmare), I'm something of a triathlete/cyclist, but what little free time I do have is generally spent playing Dota 2. I tend to gravitate towards support because of the carry-heavy team bias in pubs, but I random often so I have a decent idea of how most heroes work. I actually had mumble installed before coming here, believe it or not, so I'll pop in there at some point after midterms and try to join you guys for a game!

Now, back to work...

Best,
-steadyState

Cool, cool- I used to live in Rhode Island so I more or less know the area.

Also, I'm watching one of your VOD's as we speak-- that's some pretty great casting, I've already learned a bit just from watching!

Thanks! You can take a look at my competitive casts here: http://www.youtube.com/user/loveisdeaddota

Might want to take the advice in the DN games with a grain of salt... I'm sure I'm wrong about a number of things from those casts, as I started doing them before I learned a lot more about the game.
