Hi all! I finally decided to take my jump into DotA 2 after a few months of having the beta. I've played LoL in the past, although I wasn't a big fan of the mechanics and the overall balance of the game. But I love the style and the way DotA 2 works. I've mainly been using my client to watch pro games and tournaments and haven't really put much thought into actually playing, although I do have a good general grasp on the basics of the game from the hundreds of hours of games I watched. I guess I've been too nervous to actually try playing since the laning phase always seemed like a very overwhelming part of the game to me. I've been practicing trying to last hit/deny as good as I can as well as learn what items do what and such. But at the end of the day, I just want to have fun and learn as much as possible whether it's a win or loss. I hope to find some people to play with and don't mind playing with a completely new player. I live in the US west coast (PST), but I work night shift on weekdays so my hours are all weird. I do have Skype as well as Mumble. Hope to see you guys in game!

Hey there! I know exactly what you mean about being nervous because when I started playing Dota2 I had not even played LoL, HoN, etc. You should definitely stop by the Mumble server and introduce yourself. We have quite a few Europeans that play, so your hours being all crazy shouldn't be too big of a deal. I would suggest looking for either myself, Shane (Mumble name is just s) or FallenElf and we could party up with you in a co-op bot game to get you more comfortable. Cheers!
