Hello my nick is madestro. I love playing Dota but I really hate the lack of team play of pubs and the whole randomness where sometimes you get great supportive and communicative players but most of the time you get people that don't care for advise, do their own thing and blame everyone but themselves when they loose.

So that is the reason I have very few games on my profile since I tend to play coop almost all the time.

I am looking for people to pub with, form a team and do some pubs as a team, maybe switching roles from time to time but primarily my goal is to act as a team and communicate, whether we win or loose doesn't matter as long as we try our best and have fun at it.

I am also quite new to this whole Mumble thing and this page in general so if anyone can point me in the right direction to set up mumble and organize a party or how is the correct way to do any of that I would be grateful

Sorry for the long post and if this is a inhouse-only page then sorry and I'll continue my search elsewhere, thanks for reading and any help provided

Hey madestro, you are absolutely in the right place. Check out this page for help getting Mumble set up:

http://www.dotanoobs.com/main/mumble/

Another thing that you can do is sign up for our upcoming our first ever Dota Noobs League for this upcoming Saturday (http://dotanoobs.com/forum/thread.php?id=428). The teams will be completely randomized and probably more serious/competitive than our other IHs. Cheers!

Probably more competitive? Uno, if you are not on my team...I'll cry from the lack of your soothing tones after a mistake or when we're mounting an offensive.

Also, welcome madestro!

Thank you all for the kind replies.

I managed to set up mumble easy enough and connect to the doobs server.

Couple of questions though. First off I seen some matchmaking channels, would I go there to find a team to pub with or how do I go about asking for players to join me in a team ? Second, I like to use peerblock on my main pc (damn ISPs trying to see my torrents !!) so how can I add an exception for Mumble on Peerblock to use it ?

Thank you all for the welcoming and I hope I can increase my game numbers since I almost always play coops and it's getting bothersome. Oh and btw when is the best time to find people to pub with ?

So, the best advice I can give towards finding a team to MM with, just jump on the busiest channel, introduce yourself, and ask if anyone is looking to MM. Usually 2 or 3 channels are pretty full, so just jump into any of them.

The channel labels are there and we try to use them, but just jump in any channel. Sometimes people match make in the In house lobbies, sometimes inhouses are just forming, etc. You might have to speak up or type loudly since some of us are pretty loud .

Ah peer block. I'm at work right now, but when I get home I'll get you the info to grant an exception. Unless someone beats me to it.

Let me know if I can help out in any other way. Also, feel free to add me on steam: http://steamcommunity.com/id/fallenelf86

Yeah, Fallen is right. Best way to get into some games is to just hop right in a channel, say "Hi. I'm madestro and I'm new around here. Anyone looking to do some matchmaking or an inhouse?"

Generally you'll have a group within a couple minutes.
