I have an A.A.S. as a Network Specialist from a local community college, and am about a month away from a B.S. in Information Systems Technology.

Officially? I've got a PhD in Dotanubishness.

Associates in Computer Science with a focus on Computer Animation. Art is actually one of the few fields where education is less important than ability and experience. You have to a have a kick ass portfolio. There are 50 bajillion people out there who love video games and can draw, so marketing your skills is key. Best case scenario, you build a solid portfolio and gain a full time position at a company like valve or blizzard. The reality of this industry is that you build a solid portfolio and go contract to contract.

I went to school for two years for vocal music education. Sucked hard bro. Now I work in the oil industry, much better! Basically music school didn't work out for me, but i learned enough that since then Ihave become a published music composer, so it was a degree I ended up not really needing to succeed in the field. I would still reccomend going to college though. Even though Idid not get a degree I still learned a lot not only about music, but mostly about life and I am still glad I went .
