Hey everyone, I'm Duocellular.

First of all: I've been looking for a community where you can play with nice people.
I've played about 1500 games of League of Legends, but recent changes made by riot have really thrown me off. I started looking into Dota 2, watched hero introductions by dotacinema, and really liked it. I got into the game a few weeks ago, but haven't really played much.

I'm generally not a good player, but I'm trying to learn. I tend to play support heroes, like crystal maiden and witch doctor, to try and get a grasp of the game.

If you're willing to play with someone who isn't very good, and maybe want to teach me a thing or two, let me know.

Hop on mumble theres always people who want to play

You'd also be suprised how similar alot of the LoL champs can be to the dota 2 heroes!
Havent played LoL in a while but if you want i can point you in the right direction with some heroes like the ones you play, that way you can use your LoL experience even better
LoL isnt the worst place to come from before dota youll be suprised how much you actually know already!

Thanks for the welcome.

I've actually done a lot of research before playing, so I know the mechanics and hero spells. At least the basics.
I just find myself running around aimlessly a lot, especially as a support. I know I gotta give the farm to other people, but when there's people missing on the other team, and I'm running around with my 800 health... I often find myself just standing under a tower doing nothing. I personally think that's the biggest problem for me right now. Not knowing what to do to use that time efficiently.
Also, communicating my thoughts is very hard for me. I tend to expect people to think what I'm thinking, which can lead to some hilarious fails.

I'll probably find time for some games later, looking forward to it.

Its normal for a support to feel that way, trust me theres nothing worse than feeling like youre not helping your team as much as you could.
If you want, hop on mumble sometime and we can show you some really easy things to help your game, just off the top of my head i can think of 2 or 3 things that could make you into a god tier support player

Communication is a huge thing, and everyone's guilty at some point for assuming, but on the other hand if you over communicate like i do then you run into ALOT of problems, it just comes with playing the game, especially as a support player you sort of have to listen to what your carries or your mids are saying, then move and support them
