Every time I attempt to play doobs inhouses, I join the mumble server, there is already a game in progress with players in the dire/radiant channels. When the game ends, people all just go to the radiant channel, and make zero effort to bring new players from the waiting room channel in. So if you're not watching mumble constantly for when all the players from the game switch to one channel, you'll never get in a game. What's the point of the waiting room if this is just going to happen?

Hm, I see what you're saying. Do you introduce yourself when you see a game going? Usually most of us are more than happy to bow out of a second match if someone else wants to play. The waiting room is a bit of a misnomer, as in it's mostly used for MM groups to come together or new IH games to form. The best advice I can give, is to just jump into the busiest channel and say hi.

I would like it if everyone checked the waiting room for people, but your best bet is to jump into one of the sides and quickly introduce yourself and ask if you can get on someone's friend list to spectate the match. I'm sure someone will respond. That's how I get into the next game, anyways. It does involve waiting and watching for a game to end, but its the only way I can ensure I'll be in the next one, since even if I ask someone to invite me to the next one they may either forget or log off after the match.

It's just incorrectly named entirely if it's for MM groups to get together) to see if there is anyone who wants in the next game? There's plenty of time between games for someone to pop in, say "if anyone wants in, we just started a new game", and then go back to whatever channel everyone playing is in. |

Usually people get involved in conversation after the match and it slips their mind to check (or even start a new lobby in some cases). It would be great if they remembered, but unfortunately it doesn't always happen.
Even if we were to rename it to "Looking to Play," I still can't guarantee people are going to check after the match. |

Sorry you're having problems finding a match. As I said, usually people just jump into a busy channel, say hey, and say they're looking to play in the next match. If you're having a lot of trouble, feel free to send a message to myself (steam id fallenelf86) and if I'm around I'll ask that you be included in the next match. People don't normally go check in the in house waiting room because if no one asks to play, they usually just start again. |

dont just sit there add people on steam say hello tell them you want to play we do not have a perfect system for match making or inhouseing but if you make it clear that you want to play im sure someone will sit out for you.Do not just sit on mumble and expect someone to hold your hand to get you into a game at the end of the day the mumble is just a tool just add me on steam /shaneomad anytime you want to play msg me.

Hey DDS, sorry you have been having trouble. It is true, grabbing people from the waiting room is something that we need to improve on. There is very little pressure on our regulars to do so because, as has been pointed out above, our regulars feel free to jump down to other channels and invite themselves into the existing games. This is also the advice we give new people, but that doesn't excuse us from trying to incorporate those that are waiting up there. The only time that the waiting room gets used as you are describing it is on Sundays, where we will have multiple IHs going and after each people go back to the waiting room. We'll try better, and now you know to just jump down. Cheers!
