Good evening everyone,

I'm new to DOTA (DotA?) 2, but played a bit of LoL (not enough to be any good, but enough to kinda know what's going on). I would imagine I'm pretty bad but I'm interested in getting better. It's a bit tough though, since I don't really know which hero to choose at the outset and don't really want to let my team down. Plus, I'm finding the single queue teams I play on don't really communicate all that much.

I don't plan on joining any sort of formalized team, but would be open to playing with some like-minded players interested in getting better and not freaking out when something doesn't go right. My microphone / headphones are currently broken, but definitely on the list of things to replace.
