What is the deal with this guy?
I have only seen him a few times, but whenever he is going against me, i just get destroyed. Is there a certain char that is a good counter pick to him? |

6.76c just got patched into the game today so hes got his nerf!
Basically the deal with him is hes really tanky and puts out alot of burst damage, his ult makes the entire team move at max move speed and if they run over someone they get stunned and take a huge nuke, they cant be slowed at all so all the dota 1 heroes that were common picks against him to counter him are out the window. The big one that comes to mind is Naix aka lifestealer~! |

how to stop centaur: no
he has no hard counter anymore. I like naga since net can hold him still for a sec while not being too squishy herself as wel as sleep can stop a team from getting away or engaging you with that hard advantage. heros that can banish him are nice too since he is a hero who is not a good target bc of his massive hp pool. |

I havent play tested it alot, but i think hardcore counter initiators would work well against it, earthshaker, tidehunter specifically would be especially good due to the decent duration on their disables and the sheer size of their aoe you'd figure theyd do something. Old school centaur used to be hardcore countered by lifestealer, i havent seen the stats on the matchup after the update on centaur so im curious to see what i can dig up |

It definitely depends on how niax and centaur are being played. If a centaur knows he is against a niax and simply saves his ult for mid fight or post initiation (which centaur has the life to do) then he has nothing to fear. Can't stun, ult. Can stun? Stun. Derp.
I can see tidehunter working just because... who screen smash... but even he may have to blink in to avoid stun, stun, DE, any support stun... he should be dead by then. Other good initiators, panda comes to mind, should work pretty well as long as he takes the beating and your team focuses the other carries and supports and worries about centaur last. So all in all, I agree but with a warning that you will have to be very careful and if you aren't an initiator with blink you will likely need massive hp spare a few hero choices/team compositions. <_<        <_<
