I always listen to music when i play, if i am not in mumble. So i thought i would ask what kind of music you like to listen to while gaming!

For me it can be anything, I usually just turn on my playlist on grooveshark and go with it. No real specific preference for me

Damn I need to make a playlist that's such a good idea. I only listen to music about half the time I game but its quite varied. I listen to anything from Mexican rap to Trance/Techno and Black Metal.

Yeah I love techno/trance but dubstep and I just never clicked.

Dubstep for me it has to be liquid dubstep, the other "versions" just dont do it for me all that much with a few exceptions.

heavy metal like iron maiden but none of the new stuff just the old good stuff

i think i win for widest assortment.

trance - ranging from light (van burren) to heavy (infected mushrooms, nightcore)
euro & dance - benni bennasi, basshunter (gotta play dota while playing dota), bob sinclar
hip-hop & oldschool rap - biggie, tupac, nwa, wu-tang
and now for the random part
classical - some random chopin / bach / mozart during a game it ensures you don't lose your focus into the music. pretty calming if your at the point of raging.

and i never understood why people like dubstep. to me it sounds like either a) a remix of a dial-up modem or b) optimus prime taking a dump

I don't mind dubstep, I listen to a lot of drum and bass music, and a good portion of it sounds more like upbeat DnB, just a bit overproduced in my opinion.

But yeah, what I listen to mostly depends on my mood, if I'm in a bad mood, i'll usually put on something like Tool or The Birthday Massacre.

If i'm in a good mood I'll play stuff like We Were Promised Jetpacks, Say Anything, or Rush.
