As many of you may have noticed, over the past 2 weeks the look of DotaNoobs has changed a bit, culminating in the release of the new forum version and DN theme. It's been a lot of fun and we hope everyone likes the new changes.

If you have any suggestions, comments, problems, etc., please let us know by posting below or reaching out to Binary or myself. We've noticed a few things ourselves and are working on correcting them, but help us out!

Also, if you want to us to add anything to either the forums or the main site, i.e. more sites for the news feed, a section for content posting, etc, let us know and we'll talk to you about it to get it done.

Finally, there is a blog up on the main page. If you're interested in contributing, let us know and we'll get you set up with a WordPress account.

This theme looks modern and clean but certain parts can be hard to read, namely the text on the light gray background. You should also probably mention that it's based off Nina's Holo theme. I don't know if she cares, but giving proper credit is always good


Just saying, it's also possible to integrate a blog into an ABXD board. We have a BlogXD plugin that shows threads from a certain forum as blog posts.

Hey Mega-Mario glad you we're around to see it! I have modified the theme-info to credit Nina as we did use her excellent "Holo" theme as a base. And we've been discussing the pipe-menu etc colors in IRC all day, will probably try to adjust the bg-color otherwise just make the text a yellow or something. I've seen the ABXDBlog plugin but we actually have two different blog-feeds on our main site http://www.dotanoobs.com so we just went with Wordpress instead

Also major bug is search. adjust the url you use to send search requests to google, also consider embedding google search into the site format (ya i know it's tough but it can definitely be done)

send search request and filter through using google's AJAX search API. I read up on this quite some time ago, but i dont know if anything has changed recently. You can then encapsulate it in a table to keep the site format

I literally know nothing about what you just said. I'll binary about it though. Any help I did on the site happened after I spent a few hours reading about it then binary walking me through until I could do it over and over again.

Well now i know, either way, do fix your avatar i only noticed the text after staring at it

Also maybe consider removing the Theme option on Edit profile, this is a nice theme and you should not allow people to change it

Also IDK if custom title's was enabled on purpose or i just earned it from you or binary I say only allow custom title's under special permission! This is a Dotatatorship not a Dotamocracy!

In the last posts page, clicking on a number of a post to link to it fails, regardless of post, id=%7B0%7D is used to establish link.

Thank you so much for all of this awesome feedback djlenny_3000. We've been having some transparent problems on the back-end (I hate mod_rewrite with a passion) and am working to resolve those. I really appreciate your bug-reports and will visit each one ASAP and report back with a proper response, just don't think I'm ignoring you!

I guess I'll start at the top!

1. The "DotaNoobs" logo in the header now links to the front-page like it did before.
   
2. Everyone's Avatar is gone, a necessary evil. The old board stored those images in the DB and now it doesn't. If you need me to pull the monkey out of the old database I'd be happy too!
   
3. An odd issue, must be our theme breaking that somewhere as I was unable to reproduce under my account. Created a new user and the problem was there. I added some styling to those newMarker's so they should display properly for everyone now.
   
4. I lightened the background of the postToolbar (bold/italics/url etc). It still doesn't look right but at least it's readable now.
   
5. While I am pretty happy with our Theme overall, the beauty of AcmlmBoard is all the nifty themes (feel free to make your own I'd happily upload it!) and post-layouts. Our theme is the default, but I wont take the choice away from our users (most people wont even find that shit haha)
   
6. I'll do a bit of extra double-checking but Custom Post Title's should only be allowed for Admins and anyone we've already given a custom title too (e.g. YOU).
   
7. It seems the Last Post page is a problem with the codebase (everything works but the actual >>#### links on the far right for me) as it's broken on their forum as well. I'll mention it to them but I'm sure their already on it and we can merge from the repo when it's fixed.

Lol no rush, this is just information to take in. I was QA for 3 years before being a dev so i'm really good at finding issues.
