Hello guys. I am new here. I found you on reddit, and I hope that this is what I was looking for.

Well, let me start my introduction by saying a few things about myself.

I am 20 years old, I live in The Netherlands and I am a knowledge engineer student. My dota background is not that rich. I first heard about dota about 3-4 ago. At that time me and my friends would hang out in an Internet Caffee* (Do you call them that? Because there was no coffee involved ). I didn't play much, because I found it too complicated to play, and not really fun, but my friends became really good over time (to the point where they calculated every enemies mana and dmg and whatever, to see what tactics they need to use to beat them.) So there was no way for a noob like me to start playing with them. I started playing public games, but I quieted fast, because the quality of people and teamwork was pretty low there. Fast forward, I bought HoN when it came out, because I thought it would be easier to play with all the good graphics. Well I was wrong. I also lost interest there too, because it was really lame playing with people which you don't know, just to be screamed at. When LoL came out, it was perfect for me. A super easy dota like game? Fuck yeah. So I started playing LoL for a while, but I also got bored because every game seemed the same as the previous one. Also too many leavers. So now I started playing Dota 2. I am coming to love the game. I love all the mechanics, and the fact that you have to try in order to be good. But the only thing that bothers me is that I have none to play with. None of my RL friends are interested in gaming, or they worship LoL.

So what I am looking for is to find people to play with, and advance with, because what is the point of playing a team game, with no team?

And I want to become something between the lines of "The Leader" and "The Never-Say-Die", and probably a little bit of "The Power Tripper" . But mainly have fun.

They're called Internet Cafes here too, but at least where I live in Canada, they're not particularly common.
