Hello, I'm MC Harrison and I heard about this place through r/dota2. I played some WC3 dota with one of my friends three or four years ago, but he would always just kinda tell me what to do, so I never really learned how to play. Needless to say that kind of drove me away from the game, but I heard about dota 2 and I signed up and was quickly hooked. I've played about 150 games, and I need a lot of practice, but I'm excited to improve my game.
I briefly joined the teamspeak this afternoon, but I had no idea what I was doing and got intimidated so I logged off. Can someone walk me through step-by-step on how a game goes from the teamspeak client to the game itself? Thanks! |

Welcome to doobs my good sir! And there aren't really any "steps" for how we get our games organised, just if your not already in a game you should go to "the lobby" channel in TS, and then to form a party (match making group) one of you just have to invite the other people who want to play. And to make it easy for people to invite you, you should join the dota noobs chat channel in dota 2, that way people can just click your name and invite you from there instead of having to search for you on steam. Hope to play a game with you soon

Hey there, welcome to the community. As the others have said, most people will be friendly on TS3 and you can just join a channel and introduce yourself. Alternatively you can add me on steam (link below) and I will get a few games in with you to get you comfortable with the group. Cheers!
