Hello I'm your friendly Doob SilverSnakes I have decided that It would be beneficial for all the information on warding/hero guides/laning/ect should be put in one well thought out place. I for one am only one person an cant help everyone but with this accumulation of information I believe we can come out from under the gutter an become doober smexy. Enough of me chatting lets get it on ding ding!!!

Laning Guide/misc

Basic Guide to Warding

Purge hero builds/item builds/what to do with your starting gold doesn't have a guide on every hero but still worth checking out nonetheless

Jungle Pulling/Staking

Beware this is for dota only though I feel that their are very few things that are different between dota/dota2
Has hero guides as well as a ton of information on misc things like the damage types of spells that currently not in dota2 learning page. Most of it is reading unlike the others which are videos.

Hero guides/warding/should have everything that we doobs need to succeed.

Since we are a noob forum and this game uses a LOT of common acronyms, would it be a good idea to implement an autoreplace list so that some acronyms such as BKB are automatically written out as Black King Bar?

I wonder if this board supports such a plugin. That would be pretty spiff. Failing that, maybe a "Guide to Dota2 Acronyms" post somewhere....

i know i saw a list somewhere I'll see if i can find it

I found this
http://www.playdota.com/learn/commonterms

This should help you out I also agree that it would be a pretty sweet feature to have added.

just a way to use dota2 images in hero guides like the playdota site which i find confusing having not played the original dota. As I feel the guides on dotafire can be sometimes hit or miss.

Hello, everyone
I'm silver snakes
I used to play hon off an on for a 2yr period so i'm attempting to learn hero names as well as items. Though I mostly watch inhouses/Private games. You'll mostly find me in the mumble or singing off the stuff. I also play this game for fun im pretty calm no raging from me.

Few things to note
1. I get hyper after work mostly from drinking pepsi max
2. I'm very aggressive player
3. my favorite Pokemon is charmander

basic template of what it could look like

Doob

About yourself: just a lil something to break the ice

Steam Name: your steam name though it changes so idk bout this lol

TimeZone: your timezone ie Eastern Standard time or the like

Best Times to Reach you: best times when you can train with your mentor

Points of Improvement: Things you would like to improve on

Best Form of Contact: This will prolly be mumble but some ppl have preferences

Heroes you Play Best: Things you do great be it heroes or anything really

Heroes you have Issues with: your worst played heroes

Mentor

About yourself: just a lil something to break the ice

Steam Name: your steam name though it changes so idk bout this lol

TimeZone: your timezone

Best Times to Reach you: best times when your doobs can train with you

Best Form of Contact: This will prolly be mumble but some people have preferences

Teaching Knowledge: What information you can feed the doobs to help them succeeded to be the next singsing

Well that's all I could think of atm so hopefully we can get this started

Also If you do decide to do this I feel it would be easier to have 3 threads
like

Mentors - Threads of people who are taking doobs an how many they want to take on

Doobs - Threads of doobs who need help improving on the game

Training Sessions - Threads of players picked like Mentor makes a thread of all the players he wants to take on as doobs. The mentor would then pm the doobs though steam/mumble what have you an start their path to enlightenment. Though the reason for the thread is for uploading replays as well as the doobs giving feedback on the mentor who helped them or just shooting information back an forth.

Last but not least I know I for one don't know everything about this game but I feel I know enough to at least help out a few players If they want to learn though it would work both ways b/c we would be learning as well as them so in turn in could work out very well just as long as the experienced players do their part as well.
