I've got a few games under my belt but I'm still in single digit wins. I've played HoN, LoL and a load of SC2 and I've got the basics down (the Dota 2 Wiki has been my bathroom reading for the last couple of months). I don't get a lot of opportunities to play but I'm looking forward to having a stable of cool people to play with when I can.

I play on US West primarily.

Welcome to the community! We play almost exclusively on USE since we have quite a few European members and it seems the best middle ground for ping. If you want to play a few co-op bot games together and get some general pointers, just let me know. Otherwise, jump on our TS3 server, join a busy channel and introduce yourself. We have a Looking for Group (LFG) channel for people under 150 wins to help make sure you don't end up getting matched against really good people (party MMR is heavily skewed towards the top member of the party) but if you feel like trial by fire go for it. Sounds like you have loads of RTS experience under your belt, I'm sure that will translate into awesome dota-skillz with minimal effort
