FuzioN was nice enough to gift me a copy of this game a few days back and I must say that I’m enjoying it immensely! At first glance this just appears to be a normal team based FPS set in a semi “Alien” inspired universe, but what sets it apart is the ability for one player on each team to assume the role of commander! This switches that players view to a top down RTS perspective in which he/she can build new base structures, research upgrades, and issues commands to their team mates. NEVER have I seen a game promote good team work like NS does. People are calling out enemy locations, repairing structures and just working together to win! The game also comes with a deep skill cap as your units can vastly change depending on which research the commander has put resources so it shouldn't get stale any time soon.

Anyway if you’re a fan or truly team based games you’re doing yourself a disservice by not checking this one out.

I have heard only good things about the old Natural Selection, and I have seen a few videos on the new one, that makes it look quite impressive.

$25 bucks though? I guess that is really cheap for a good game, but I think DOTA has me jaded with the fact that its free......though I am sure I have spent $25 on keys at this point.

Yeah I was hunting around on TS for people to split the 4 pack with me which would have gotten down to $18.75 before FuZion hooked me up. That being said after playing for a few days I would happily shell out $25 for this game just to support the amazing community they've built (not to mention the game is easily worth that much). I've never seen people work this well together on a random server. It's surreal!

I've actually always wanted to play a game like this since I first played Command and Conquer 1. If its implemented well I'll give it a shot. I've seen it implemented and not work, though, in Battlefield 2 (not Bad Company 2).

I used to play Nuclear Dawn, which was a similar concept, and i enjoyed the hell out of it.

ooo nice, I did get this on the Steam Sale....still very confused when I play, all I know is that I make a terrible Alien.

It is a really fun game. One that is done extremely well and I'm sad I don't have enough time to devote to this.

We should definitely play some of this as a community one day, would be a very fun evening.

All you need is a really good commander from my experience. The shooting/stabbing is really easy in the game.
I havent tried commander yet but i friended a guy who was amazing as it. I just join his game ^^
