I'm a relatively new dota-er (around 80 played matchmaking games). me and a couple buddies started playing about 2 months back. We've picked up on a lot of the basics of the game but still consistently get pub-stomped.. which is obviously because of the two pugs that we're constantly getting queue'd with (yes... i'm trying to bolster my dota insecurities). I stumbled across this website today and I love the concept! Plus I think having the tournament is an awesome idea, I just wish I had found this website a few weeks earlier so I could participate! Anyways, I'm going to pass dotanoobs.com onto my buddies and hope we can start playing some games soon!

I have a few IRL Friends (pause for laughter) who have played LoL for years religiously. I tried to play with them but nothing is as frustrating as a new player trying to play on a level 1 account with all level 30 friends. It was doomed from the start. I eventually saw the dota2 beta signup in steam, applied and figured what the heck. level playing field? good graphics? valve?? I'd like to say the rest is history, but I eventually got bored and stopped playing because all my buddies were league nerds and solo queuing got old. Months later I randomly caught a stream of a competitive match and decided to give dota2 another shot. Found out a few friends were up to trying out dota2 as well and we've been playing for a couple months now.

A couple friends and I are hoping to play in the next DN tourney and practice up until it starts. All 3 of us a relatively new to dota, being somewhere near the 50 win mark. We're hoping to pick up two more players with similar schedules to ours (usually start playing together at about 9pm-1pm PST most nights during the week). Mic/Teamspeak or ventrilo required.

as far as the other shenanigans going on in this thread.... I think I've missed something important...

we've changed our schedule a bit, and are planning to do 8-11pm PST.. no set days or anything, just a few nights a week. We picked up a 4th and we're still hoping to fill in a 5th spot so we can start doing Team Matchmaking. Hit me up if that interests you!!
