I'm starting a series of videos where I take a look at pro players in pub games and guide the viewer through how a very experienced player approaches their matches. Most of these videos will be 20-30 mins in length and will are geared towards players that already know the basics of a hero and are looking to improve their strategical approach to a match.

The first: Dendi plays Templar Assassin

The goal isn't to go over every detail of the hero, as the video assumes you already know the basics, but to look at the more complicated decisions that a pro player makes. I fast forwarded through the laning stage because nothing interesting happened.

Fair point, but I do agree a bit with Shane. I had no idea that you could deny and last hit at the same time with Psy Blades. One thing worth mentioning might be how important TA's positioning is in regards to last hitting. A decent player can last hit well, a pro-player can last hit while constantly harassing and denying their opponent.

I didn't know you could last hit *and* deny either. Wow!

if you wanted to look at the decisions why would you pick a pub game to show?id say 50% of what he does is just for fun and would not do in a serious game

I think there is plenty of relevant information within that video that players can learn from. Its a pub, but that's what most of us play. Whether the goal of the match was for "fun" or not, his decisions were largely effective in winning the match.

These videos are not intended to train you for competitive play, just more effective pub play.

I think I lost that one because I didn't upload it to youtube, or something. I tried finding more puck videos and he was either a non-issue in the game, or lost. Puck is very hard to play well as a mid-lane ganker, and he doesn't benefit that much from farm. I decided to go with some other picks. Still trying to find a good game with pros now, but it seems a lot of them haven't been playing too many pubs with their main accounts.
