Hi Everyone!
Just joined the forum recently. I know the basics of Dota but not really good at it. I want to practice more but getting tired of all the rage from pub games so I hope I can get on some games here. Just installed the teamspeak client. Can I use that with just chat(no voice)? How exactly do you get in the game? I know it's a lot of question, I'm still going through the FAQs so ignore my questions if they are there. BTW, is there only a certain time of the day people play or is there always a few playing. I live in SE Asia region so my timezone's about GMT+8. Hoping to play with you guys soon!

Posted by koppen To help out with organization of timings, I'm UTC +8. I'd mostly be free on weekends. On weekdays, either really early or late (EST 9pm+ or 9am+ respectively) Also UTC +8 here  hope I can join you guys

Thanks a lot for the replies guys! I have a question though. How do you actually start a match?
1. I would think I would need to add them to steam so do you just ask each other's steam name? 2. Does steam help in starting the game (aside from chat)? Or does it all happen in steam after you're finished discussing? |

Or does it all happen in steam after you're finished discussing? Typical game with people you have not met starts with either (a) meeting on TS3 or (b) meeting in the in-game "Dota Noobs" chat. If (a), then you usually say something in the aforementioned in-game "Dota Noobs" chat like "hi" or "me", and the invitation is sent from there. Hopefully hilarity and good times follow. If not, please contact an admin and give us your woes. And THEN have hilarity and good times. Thanks finally got it. Without dotanoobs I wouldn't even know that small + sign there is for channels.
