Hey everyone! I played a bit of the original DotA, but only ever with bots, so that's a poor education right there. As for DotA 2, I've had a few games with two friends, but just with hard bots. I've tried the co-op bot matches too but have been too intimidated to try anything other than the easy mode... and you know how that goes.

What all this boils down to is that I have practically no experience in decent team fighting. Thankfully there are tons of YouTube game casts to watch, but I really want to learn more from application. This looks like the perfect place to start with that, so I hope I can learn and have fun with you all. I'll try to figure out how the TeamSpeak thing works since that seems to be the first step, from what everyone's saying.

Cheers!

EDIT: By the way, my Steam/DotA ID is also looneyticks.

Hi guys, thanks for the nice welcome. I've managed to play one game with a few other doobs and predictably fed in grand fashion.

I've noticed that new members come in every so often, but I don't see too many people in TeamSpeak. Do you guys still do total noob inhouses like you used to? I'm thinking maybe a lot of the newcomers are too intimidated to ask for a game, and maybe having a few scheduled once/a few times a week would get more people to play together. Maybe it could be something like they sign up for a specific schedule or what, and that way all "slots" in a scheduled game would be filled. I don't know.

Also, major points for effort on that pun. I won't even try to make one for yours--I can't even pronounce it. Explosions are great, unless it's from enemy fire and you're stunned under it with not even a wand.

Thanks for the games, Admiral, Feranel, Japanties. It's a bit difficult to pay attention to what you guys are saying over TeamSpeak through the game... especially over the constant buzzing inside your head that sounds suspiciously like "WHAT DO I DO? WHAT DO I DO???" I'll message a few of the newer doobs if they're up for a few true-noob bot games so we can practice a bit. Cheers.

Heya, Misfitero. The rest of this message, I'll just copy+paste to the other newish doob intros I'll be sending this to--I'm a lazybutt.

I was thinking that us newer doobs could maybe play a few practice bot games, just so we can all get used to coordinating and whatnot in-game. Let's just all see what we can do about scheduling. Or at least let's friend each other so whoever's on can practice together. Maybe some of our games, we can ask a more experienced doob to spectate or coach us or what. Would you be down with that? Feel free to add me to your friend list, my Steam ID is also looneyticks. See you in-game soon!!! (hopefully )
