Right so at the moment and a few weeks forward i cant stream because shit internets, so i was thinking i could locally record and then upload the good stuff to our dotanoobs youtube.

And this actually opens up the possibility of better production, so i was wondering if anyone is good at making like intros or something?
Just to make it look more pro.

I know how to edit videos and have started working with After Effects recently, but I need a bit more time until I am able to get to a more professional level of production quality. If you give me 2-3 weeks, I'll make you a nice Dota Noobs intro.

I use fraps to record videos. Then upload overnight to youtube since my incredibly shitty internet is about 0.4 upload speed. Editing is for tryhards.

How big does a fraps file generally get btw?

Fucking HUGE. I set it to "half size" but basically if I record a full match even at half size, it's around 25 gigs. I run that through shitty windows live moviemaker and if I do it at 480p end up with a file about 1 gig, which takes hours to upload.

Recording to a file, in Open Broadcast Software might give you smaller files, I remember fraps giving ridiculous file sizes alright, I will test tonight !

Hmm, you might be right! I can do 1080 p 60fps quality that way as well. I dont know if fraps does 60 fps

I did it with very good quality and my FPS did not drop like it does when I stream ( bitrates or I dunno wtf is going on with that shiz ) but I did not check the file sizes after ! Don't tell the poe poe but I got my hands on a version of Sony Vegas Pro, I do intend to start making videos, I used to enjoy it when I played DAoC and Eve, was thinking of making a fails video first ! But you rarely have fails. instead, you should make an entire video series dedicated to MoeJoe's fails of the week. Even if it's a good play, spin it so it's bad.
