Hey,
Welcome to my amazingly bland introduction! That may be a bit of an overstatement, but it is what it is until I can begin getting a bit of actual experience under my belt in terms of "pwning the noobs" such as I get done to me often, even by bots atm.. I'm looking for some casual games to get a bit better grasp of the timing involved, tactics, familiarity with the insane UI/Item nuances, and perhaps make a couple frenemies in the process ^)^ which I'm certain after seeing my play, you may become (Friend if you like "fix up projects", "enemy" if you rage on someone who may overextend from time to time). The bad part... I forced myself to get into this wonderful genre by playing a little game you may have heard of, LoL, which knows only one cadence compared to the multi-layered, multi-faceted, beast which is DoTA2. I pray because of this game now, and when watching, habitually get the feeling that I would loose control of my bodily functions (Heart rate, blood pressure, breathing) if only I could learn to coordinate and position such as top tier players, and even mid for that matter. I'm aware LoL is a poor starting choice, don't hate me, but after awhile of forcing myself to learn its systems, and grasp the game, the payoff was there, and it fell in droves. I can only assume that the superior game will do the same, with a far superior outcome. I'm tactically minded, imo, but I've never once had the fact that I (expletive deleted)ing sucked at something worse in my life, and fighting with the UI/Item shop has been uncharacteristically daunting for me, far beyond any other game I've went into with such determination. Anyhow, I am here with confidence (a bit too much perhaps) that I can make an excellent addition to a team, and that with the experience, I will be a deciding factor in many a fight. My problem atm is not knowing particularly WHAT to look out for, and when I think I'm starting to become a beast, someone has countered me without my knowing, and shows me I am but yet still a pile of it on the ground. Looking to up my game, looking to make a change, and hoping a good community can help to constructively criticize me in a way I'll understand rather than evoking a hemorrhage in my temple that will further delay my understanding of the game. I'm up for any mode that will assist in me learning, any advice, and more importantly, any team of people with similar goals that wants to competitively explore the less dark side of learning the ins and outs without the need for a blood sacrifice by the 30 min. mark. I'll be looking to be active here a bit over the next few weeks, hopefully make some friends, sporting enemies, and with time, help others myself. Thanks for reading, and I hope to meet you in-game or on the forum. For now, I'll be reading about what dotanoobs here can offer in terms of arranging games on a level that I may be up to par with. TL;DR - I suck as I understand, have a basic understanding of the concepts, and need to learn the F'ing item shop asap! (As well as some recommended keybinds, as the default just doesn't seem to cut it with so many active items and no memory map locations!) Any help appreciated, and would like to game in the near future! I'm @ about 30 hours play time, one live pub, still got romped on (not that bad personally, but at the same, the fault doesn't lie only in my team) and would like to get better. Have a good one, and hope to get to know some helpful folks here, -m1nd |
