Noob here! And I'm a female. I guess that is pretty rare in the dota community. Learning how to properly play the game and need some help.
 btw. Nyan cat is waaaaayy too cute to not be a smilie.

Greetings and salutations. Welcome to this little community of noobish players (Not all are noobs but they may as well be). It will be mentioned that you should jump onto the dota noobs team-speak server and introduce yourself. There you will be able to get into match making groups and enjoy the world that is Dota2 with other people who may/may not know what in the world they are doing. Tech kind of stole my spcheel but yeah hop onto teamspeak and get ready for funtiems! You'd be suprised being a female isnt that rare! I think we have enough for an all female inhouse these days!

Welcome! As TechSupprt said, hop on teamspeak sometime. Also, join the Dota Noobs chat channel in-game too. There's usually folk looking for groups in there as well. GLHF

If you are feeling super duper noob there are a few threads floating around the forums where people are partying up to play some games against bots while more experienced people spectate, pausing and offering advice as the game progresses. There are also people tagged up as Coaches (C) on the TS3 server that can answer any questions that you may have. Hope you find us friendly either way, cheers!
