So it’s come to this.

The league is over, finished, done with, kaputski, and will quite possibly go down in the annals of history as a somewhat failed experiment.

A three month long season with weekly matches, trying to accommodate across numerous time zones, with some randomly drafted teams was an ambitious task that worked out in the beginning, real life intervened for many of us and attendance and match numbers dwindled with each passing week.

It also didn’t help that European admins didn’t understand daylight savings time…just saying…I’m not blaming them, but I’m not not blaming them.

That being said, I do want to take this time to say that the admins have spoken (in the mythical IRC chat that everyone has the information for) with one another and have decided to bring back the Sunday in-houses. We missed having this opportunity to meet new members, play silly matches, and just generally have some non-competitive fun, isn’t that what MM is for?
So starting this week, Sunday, April 21, we’re going to be like Stella and get our groove back (this is a reference to the movie How Stella Got Her Groove Back, if you didn’t get that then screw you for making me feel old) by playing some good ol’ fashioned in-houses at 2:00 PM EST.

I’d also like to mention that I was able to get a Custom Realms server up and running the other day. I’ll be hosting the server on Sunday so hopefully we can get some OMG/WTF All Random All Mid games going.

This is one of those times I wish DN had a catch phrase I could use to end these posts. Unfortunately we don’t have one yet. I’d like to take this opportunity to make one now:

“Finish the fucking point system!” (this will make sense whenever it’s finished)

You cant blame them for our american thing. I feel like a smaller Euro IHL and NA IHL could have been better since you would just play with who shows up and then track stats accordingly and that way the Euro players and NA players can play on their own schedules.

Im sure its something that can get revisited in the future

I didn't follow much of what went on lately, sad to see things failed for you guys. Definetly looking forward to the custom realm though, you are awesome Fallenelf!

Thanks for that Cip! It's not easy admitting that something went wrong, but to move forward we gotta do it.

We're going back to our roots. More inhouses, especially on Sundays, to introduce older members to newer ones. Fun matches AR-All Mid, Custom Realms matches, learning inhosues, etc.

Any advice on what you'd like to see us doing again or anything you'd like us to try, just let us know!
