Hi, I'm meek.

I started playing Dota 2 a while ago but only bots. I'd like to transition to real games but people don't seem very hapy with my lack of experience and the're a certain degree of sexism involved whenever I have to use voice comms (I'm a girl).

I don't care about sexist jokes but telling me to go die in a fire sort of demotivates me to play.

I'm really bad and would like to play in a frindle evironment where people won't shit talk. How do I go about doing that?

I have Teamspeak 3 installed.

Welcome meek!
We have several female members so that is not a problem here.

Just hop into the teamspeak and introduce yourself to people!
And ask any of the "experienced" players and see if they can help you out with some coaching. I personally recommend Gambit for this stuff

Meek... meek.. it rhymes with leek, and reek.... Hello meek. ASOIAF aside, welcome to the wonderful world of DotaNoobs.

When you make it onto our Teamspeak (voice.dotanoobs.com), keep an eye out for people with a green [C] next to their names (you will have a [New] next to yours, so you get an idea of what I'm talking about). These people have selflessly volunteered to be coaches and should be happy to assist you.

You might also want to track down KreeJaffaKree, as she IS the "Head of the Lady Doob Welcoming Committee", no need to let her slack in her duties.

Welcome, welcome, welcome!

We have a small female contingincy already established here within the doobs, which continues to ensure that the rest of us don't get too carried away with explosions, making worryingly accurate fart noises across teamspeak and celebrating external genitals. Glad to add another to the cause!

As has been covered before - the community is a fairly laidback community of swashbucklers, wranglers and Canadians - so everyone is rather friendly and abundantly happy to help

Hi meek! The rest of this message, I'll just copy+paste to the other newish doob intros I'll be sending this to--I'm a lazybutt.

I was thinking that us newer doobs could maybe play a few practice bot games, just so we can all get used to coordinating and whatnot in-game. Let's just all see what we can do about scheduling. Or at least let's friend each other so whoever's on can practice together. Maybe some of our games, we can ask a more experienced doob to spectate or coach us or what. Would you be down with that? Feel free to add me to your friend list, my Steam ID is also looneyticks. See you in-game soon!!! (hopefully )
